In a method or device for dosing toner material in an electrophotographic printer or copier, toner material is introduced into at least one bucket chamber rotatably arranged in an opening at a bottom of a toner reservoir. The bucket chamber has a paddle wheel which seals the opening of the toner reservoir. As the paddlewheel rotates, toner material in the bucket chamber is conveyed into a region. The toner material conveyed from the paddlewheel is further conveyed with a screw conveyor. Also a toner reservoir is provided having a toner removal opening shaped to accommodate at least a portion of a paddlewheel.

Device and method for dosing toner material in an electrophotographic printer or copier

In a method and device to separate toner material and air from a toner material-air mixture, and first operating phase at toner material-air mixture is supplied to a filter so that air flows through the filter in a first direction. In a second operating phase, the flow of air through the filter in a first direction is interrupted such that toner material deposited on the filter is loosened. In a second operating phase, air flows through the filter in a direction approximately opposite to the first direction. Also in a method device for dosing toner material in an electrophotographic printer or copier, toner material is introduced into at least one bucket chamber rotatably arranged in an opening at a bottom of a toner reservoir. The bucket chamber has a paddle wheel which seals the opening of the toner reservoir. As the paddlewheel rotates, toner material in the bucket chamber is conveyed into a region. The toner material conveyed from the paddlewheel is further conveyed with a screw conveyor. Also a toner reservoir is provided having a toner removal opening shaped to accommodate at least a portion of a paddlewheel.

In a method and system for transport of toner material, a reservoir arrangement containing the toner material is provided with a removal opening for removal of the toner material. The toner material is transported away from the removal opening with aid of a tube-shaped conduit, the toner material being transported in the tube-shaped conduit via an air current. A negative pressure is generated relative to environment pressure at the removal opening via the air current in the tube-shaped conduit. The reservoir arrangement is provided with at least one air-permeable and toner-tight region through which air is sucked into the reservoir arrangement upon application of the negative pressure. At least the air-permeable and toner-tight region is partitioned airtight from the environment, environment air being supplied to the partitioned region via a dosing nozzle.

Method and device for the transport of toner material from a reservoir

A system and method are provided for coating a container for acceptance of consumables. An information carrier is provided on the container for the first memory area in which a container-individual identifier number is non-erasably stored, and an erasable second memory area is provided of the information carrier providing consumable-specific data.

Printer or copier system having re-employable container for consumables and method for the employment of the container

In a method for improving the printing quality for electrographic color printing, print consumables, particularly toner, are monitored in container-exact fashion and substance-specific information are employed for the control of the printing process. Toner expiration dates for the consumables are identified and noted early at the respective printing location. The consumable contained in the container and the amount of consumable contained is thus stored in machine-readable fashion at the container. An information carrier is provided at the container for non-contacting transmission of data and energy from a data read and/or write station to the container. A transponder that is provided with an individual hardware identifier is provided as the information carrier. The hardware identifier may be employed as a component part of codes for device control. The printer or copier system disclosed includes a recycling concept for consumables containers. One and the same container is multiply employed, and the current container content can be acquired container-individually at any time by machine. The containers are provided with the information carrier that contains the machine-readably encoded information about the current or more recently contained consumable situated in the container. A module that can be electronically written and read in non-contacting fashion is employed as the information carrier, particularly the transponder. The data stored in the transponder can be supplied to other system components such as a filling station, a central computer with a data bank, and the printer or copier devices.

Printing or copying system with a reusable container for consumable materials and method for using said container

The apparatus for conveying finely powdered material from a reservoir includes a suction/pressure unit that projects into the reservoir. A gas is introduced into the suction/pressure unit and is mixed with the finely powdered material that is sucked into suction/pressure unit from the reservoir to form a powder/gas mixture and this mixture is discharged. Compressed air blows into the reservoir in a finely dispersed manner to fluidized the finely powdered material so that the extraction of the finely powdered material from the reservoir is facilitated.

Apparatus for conveying toner material from a reservoir

For transporting finely powdered toner material from a reservoir to a delivery opening, a porous bed that forms a down grade is charged with compressed air proceeding from below, whereby the toner material mixes with air to form a liquid-like mixture. This mixture flows along the down grade from the reservoir to the delivery opening.
