The invention relates to interior rear view mirrors, in the mirror housing () of which sensors are disposed that sit on an electronic board (). Said rear view mirrors require substantial assembly space such that the assembly position of the sensor is limited. In order not to restrict the assembly position of the sensor, said sensor sits on a sensor board () that is separate from the electronic board (). The two boards () are interconnected by means of signals. The sensor board () can be embodied in a very compact manner such that the sensor located thereupon can be mounted in any appropriate position within the mirror housing (). The interior rear view mirror is used for motor vehicles.

A vehicle light has at least one vehicle light housing having an open end and configured to be arranged on an inner side of a vehicle part of the vehicle. At least one illumination element is arranged in the vehicle light housing. The vehicle part has a light-transmissive area covering the open end of the vehicle light housing, wherein the light-transmissive area allows rays emitted by the illumination element to pass through to the exterior. The vehicle part can be the trunk lid or the exterior rearview mirror of the vehicle. The light-transmissive area is covered with a coating having a thickness such that, when the illumination element is switched off, the light transmissive area is invisible from the exterior of the vehicle and such that light emitted by the illumination element passes through the coating when the at least one illumination element is switched on.

An interior rearview mirror for a vehicle has a mirror base and a mirror head connected to the mirror base. A rain sensor is arranged in the mirror base. The mirror base is connected to a base plate glued to the windshield of the vehicle by clamping and securing elements engaging depressions in the base plate. The rain sensor is pressed against the windshield by the pulling force of the clamping and securing elements acting on the mirror base.
