The latch mechanism may have first and second guide wires that control movement of the headrest along first and second axes, respectively. The latch mechanism may permit movement of the headrest along the first and second axes when in an unlatched position.

Seat assembly having an adjustable head restraint assembly

A head restraint assembly is provided with a head restraint frame mounted to a post for movement along the post for adjustment relative to a vehicle seat. The head restraint frame has a contact surface. A biasing member is mounted to the head restraint frame for movement relative to the head restraint frame to maintain the head restraint frame in a locked condition along the post. An actuation member is mounted to the head restraint frame for movement relative to the head restraint frame. The actuation member cooperates with the biasing member such that movement of the actuation member moves the biasing member, thereby disengaging the biasing member from the post to permit movement of the head restraint along the post such that the biasing member engages the contact surface in the second position to provide feedback to the user of an unlocked condition of the head restraint frame.

Adjustable head restraint assembly for vehicle seats

A seat assembly having a guide bushing. The guide bushing has a body and a biasing member. The body has an opening for receiving a support post and first and second engagement features that are configured to flex. The biasing member exerts a biasing force on the first and second engagement features to bias the first and second engagement features.

The support member includes a locking feature. The head rest assembly includes a housing supported by the support member, a locking member, and an actuator configured to move the locking member from a locked position with the locking feature to an unlocked position from the locking feature to permit the headrest assembly to move relative to the post and support member.
