The invention relates to methods for manufacturing an energy storage of an electrolytic capacitor, to a method for manufacturing a foil electrode of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, to a device for manipulating a component of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, to specifically designed foil electrodes for an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, to a method and a device for analyzing a quality of a section of paper to be used as separator of an electrolytic capacitor, and to a specifically designed electrolytic capacitor.

Electrolytic capacitor components and manufacturing methods

An embodiment of the capacitor includes a metal current collector, a conductive adhesion layer applied on the metal current collector, and an electrode active layer applied on the conductive adhesion layer, wherein the adhesion layer has a conductive non-carbide metal compound, particularly a metal oxide or metal nitride. An embodiment of the method of manufacturing the capacitor is also disclosed.

The invention relates, amongst others, to a feedthrough pin of an electrolytic capacitor for contacting an electrode of the electrolytic capacitor and providing an electrical contact of the electrolytic capacitor on an outside of the electrolytic capacitor, the feed-through pin comprising a longitudinally extending body. According to an aspect of the invention, a first circumferential protrusion is arranged between a first section of the longitudinally extended body and a second section of the longitudinally extended body, wherein the first circumferential protrusion runs around a longitudinal axis of the longitudinally extended body and extends radially outwards over an outer contour of the first section of the longitudinally extended body and an outer contour of the second section of the longitudinally extended body.

Electrical feed-through of an electrolytic capacitor

The present invention relates to a capacitor having an electrically conductive housing with a housing inner surface and a housing interior substantially defined by the housing inner surface, at least one first electrode having a first polarity and being arranged in the housing interior, at least one separator element being arranged between the housing inner surface and the at least one first electrode, and an electrically conductive coating being arranged between the housing inner surface and the at least one separator element. The housing inner surface includes at least one recess, and the electrically conductive coating is arranged in the at least one recess.

An aluminum electrolytic capacitor including an anode electrode, and a method for producing the anode electrode. The method includes providing an aluminum electrolyte including an ionic liquid and an aluminum salt, galvanically deposing an aluminum on an aluminum foil formed from the aluminum electrolyte, and anodically oxidizing a surface of the aluminum foil. The ionic liquid includes a pyrrolidinium cation and a halogenide. The aluminum electrolyte includes 50-70 mol. % of the aluminum salt based on a total substance amount of the ionic liquid and the aluminum salt. The galvanic deposition includes and is based on a deposition temperature ranging from 20&#xb0; C. to 100&#xb0; C., a current density ranging from 1 to 100 mA/cm, an applied potential ranging from &#x2212;0.1 V to &#x2212;1.0 V based on a potential of an aluminum reference electrode, and a deposition rate ranging from 1 to 50 &#x3bc;m/h.

A lead feedthrough of an electrical functional unit, in particular a capacitor or medical electronic implant, which comprises a hollow conductive flange and a contact piece disposed in the cavity thereof and which is electrically insulated and sealed with respect to the flange, wherein the flange can be connected to a lead of a first type, and the contact piece can be connected to a lead of a second type in the functional unit, wherein, in a circumferential section of the flange, a tangentially extending gap is provided, which is delimited on one side by a flange body and on the other side by a tab integrally formed on the body, or by a separate pressure piece, for the tangential insertion and affixation of the lead of the first type.

The present disclosure relates to feedthrough contacts for electronic components of the type used in implantable stimulators such as, for example, cardiac pacemakers, ICDs, CRT-Ds, and/or neurostimulators. A feedthrough conductor includes a metallic electrode, wherein a part of the metallic electrode () has a locally enlarged diameter in the region of the passage through an opening () in the component housing (). The ridge () formed as a result exerts pressure onto the elastic sealing material () disposed around the electrode () in a tubular shape, thereby producing a hermetic seal between the electrode surface and the sealing material (), and between the sealing material () and the wall () of the housing opening (). The feedthrough conductor is sealed using an adhesive material () on the outer side of the electronic component.
