The invention relates to a method for determining the quality of an imaging plate, comprising the steps of carrying out an exposure of the imaging plate, carrying out a scan of the imaging plate in order to determine an image, determining a signal-to-noise ratio of the image or/and carrying out edge recognition on the image and calculating a quality value of the imaging plate on the basis of the signal-to-noise ratio of the image or/and on the basis of the recognized edge structure. Furthermore, the invention relates to an imaging plate scanner for carrying out such a method.

Method for determining the quality of an imaging plate and imaging plate scanner therefor

A system having an X-ray imaging device for capturing an X-ray image on an imaging film, and a device for reading out the imaging film. The imaging film includes a data carrier, and the X-ray imaging device and/or the readout device includes a data device that has a write/read device for writing, on the data carrier, imaging parameters relating to the X-ray image capture and for reading information that is stored on the data carrier, the write/read device being configured to transmit the read information to the readout device such that the imaging parameters in force when capturing the X-ray image are available to the readout device for an imaging film readout. A method for providing information for a readout device is also provided.

System and method for providing imaging parameters

A system that comprises an X-ray imaging device for capturing an X-ray image on an imaging film, and a device for reading out said imaging film. The imaging film includes an optically readable marking, and the X-ray imaging device and/or the readout device includes a device for reading information stored on the data carrier, the data device being designed to register the optically readable marking using said readout device. A method for providing information for a readout device is also disclosed.

An x-ray phosphor plate system has an x-ray phosphor plate, which is configured to be exposed by x-ray light in a recording region, and which carries a shadowing marker, which is arranged in the recording region, on at least one side of the x-ray phosphor plate. The system also has a phosphor plate reader, which is configured to read the exposed x-ray phosphor plate in order to produce an x-ray recording. The shadowing marker has a shadowing effect in respect of x-ray light that is so small that the shadowing marker is only weakly identifiable, and/or only identifiable by way of image artefacts, and/or not identifiable when the x-ray recording is observed by a user. The phosphor plate reader instead has an identification algorithm, which is configured to identify whether or not the x-ray light was shadowed by the shadowing marker during the exposure.

X-ray phosphor plate system

A device for reading out an exposed imaging plate, having a light source producing a read-out light, a deflecting unit sequentially directing the read-out light at the imaging plate with a read-out spot in order to read out the imaging plate, whereby a traveling read-out spot can be produced there, a detector unit for fluorescent light, which is emitted by the imaging plate during the reading out by means of the read-out light, and a control device for controlling the light source, the deflecting unit, and the detector unit. The control device performs a preliminary read-out of the imaging plate in order to determine read-out parameters and to subsequently read out the imaging plates using the determined read-out parameters. A method for reading out an imaging plate reading out part of the information on the imaging plate surface, determining read-out parameters on the basis of the read-out part of the information, and reading out the remaining part of the information of the imaging plate surface using the read-out parameters.

Imaging plate scanner

A device and method for reading an exposed imaging plate generate read-out light and utilize a deflection unit to direct the read-out light in a scanning movement over the imaging plate. The deflection unit has a micromirror to deflect impinging read-out light towards the imaging plate. The micromirror can swivel about a first swivel axis and about a second swivel axis distinct from the first. A detector unit detects fluorescent light emitted from the imaging plate at locations where the read-out light impinges. An evaluating unit evaluates signals received from the detector unit and builds up an image that is stored in the imaging plate. The evaluating unit takes into account, when evaluating the signals received from the detector unit, that points on the imaging plate are subjected to the read-out light variably often and/or for variable time lengths while the micromirror oscillates about the first and the second swivel axis.

A device configured to read an exposed imaging plate, comprises a light-source that generates read-out light. A deflection unit directs the read-out light in a scanning movement over the imaging plate. The deflection unit comprises a micromirror that deflects impinging read-out light towards the imaging plate. The micromirror swivels about a first swivel axis and about a different second swivel axis. The micromirror oscillates with a first frequency about the first swivel axis and simultaneously with a different second frequency about the second swivel axis. A detector unit detects fluorescent light which is emitted from the imaging plate at locations where the read-out light impinges.

In order to create a magazine of straightforward, compact and economical design having as few components and being as simple to assemble as possible, the disk drawer locking mechanism is integral with the magazine. The disk drawer locking mechanism and the magazine are constructed as a one-piece injection molded unit in plastic and the disk drawer locking mechanism has a locking catch and a release tab which are joined to the magazine or an outer panel of the magazine by means of a common, elastic fulcrum bar and which pivot conjointly around the centre axis of the fulcrum bar thereby acting against its spring action.
