Operating status transitions of production plants according to the PROFIEnergy standard are increasingly provided for the energy management of an individual component within a plant. The definition of an operating status change for an individual component leaves unsolved the problem as to how an operating status change of a plant having multiple components is to be effected. Thus, methods and systems that support an automatic operating status change of a plant consisting of a multiplicity of components are provided herein.

Method for setting an operating status

A device and a method for identifying parameters of at least one field device used in automation technology are provided. To simplify the assignment of parameters to field devices in automated systems, the behavior of the field device is monitored and operating information that describes the field device behavior is recorded. The operating information is stored in a first memory area, a manufacturer-independent field device model is stored in a second memory area and model parameters belonging to the manufacturer-independent field device model are identified on the basis of the operating information with the aid of a processing unit.

Parameter identification for field devices used in automation technology

The invention relates to an automation system in which automation components () have integrated RFID tags () with a memory () for storing identification and operating data. The automation components further feature integrated RFID write/read devices (), which can write current operating and process data onto the RFID tag () and can read data from the RFID rag (). Furthermore, a mobile RFID write/read device () is provided, with the aid of which the data can be read out from the RFID tag () of the automation component () and/or data can be entered into the component.

Transmission of data into and out of automation components

The processing of instructions in a program (task A, . . . ) in one computer (A, . . . ) is interrupted when an instruction (syncpoint x, . . . ) occurs which requests synchronization with a program (task B, . . . ) on another computer (B, . . . ). A set of synchronization data (syncdata x, . . . ) for a program (task B, . . . ) on at least one other computer (B, . . . ) is then fed into a data interface (,) from each program involved, a change is made to a receive state, and the processing of the instructions in a program (task A, . . . ) is interrupted until a set of synchronization data (syncdata y, . . . ) has been received from programs (task B, . . . ) in the other computers (B, . . . )
