A head condenser is provided with a plate heat exchanger which has first and second channels through which media can flow and which, for the first medium, form tubes between individual plates that are connected to each other to form a pair of plates and, for the second medium, form waves between pairs of plates that are connected to each other to form a stack of plates. A condenser housing is provided in which the plate heat exchanger is arranged, wherein the condenser housing provides pressure chambers which extend over the large outer surfaces of the plate heat exchanger and are in fluidic connection with the channels for the first or second medium. The pressure chambers are traversed by fluid lines which are in fluidic connection with the respectively other first or second medium.

Head condenser

The invention relates to a high-pressure plate heat exchanger having a polygonal plate packet that is arranged in a pressure chamber created by a housing, the housing having convexly curved flange covers. Said heat exchanger is characterized in that at least one of the flange covers has a polygonal opening for receiving the plate packet.

High-pressure plate heat exchanger

A plate heat exchanger has flow channels through which a first flow and a second flow pass in concurrent or countercurrent flow. The flow channels are formed for the first medium between individual plates () joined together to form in each case a pair (P) of plates, and for the second medium between pairs (P) of plates joined together to form a stack (S) of plates, wherein the individual plates () within an inlet region (E) have guide blades () which are formed by stamped embossments and protrude into the flow channel, wherein the guide blades () are formed in an arch-shaped manner with an inflow leg () aligned substantially parallel to the main flow direction and an outflow leg () aligned at an angle to the inflow leg ().
