Wheel for motor vehicles of the type which is cast or forged in one piece and composed of a light metal alloy and possessing a rim and a wheel disc with a radial clearance between the rim and the periphery of the wheel disc. Ventilation apertures are defined by the radial clearance and radially extending connecting webs bridging same. In order to provide an outer appearance which is aesthetically pleasing and to limit soiling of the wheel by brake friction material while facilitating a strong light weight construction the ventilation apertures extend radially so they are not visible as open windows from the front, a stiffening ring at the wheel disc forms a connection base for the connecting webs, which ring is severed at spaced locations during manufacture.

A wheel cover for wheels of a passenger motor vehicle which includes a wire ring with outwardly bent lug-shaped members distributed along the circumference thereof, which are adapted to engage in an annular recess in the wheel rim for holding the wheel cover in place; the lug-shaped members are held in radial and axial directions within a guide structure at the wheel cover; each guide structure is provided with an internal radial abutment in such a manner that the wire ring, in the non-mounted condition of the wheel cover, is under prestress; covers elastically connected to the wheel cover are associated with the guide structures on the outside thereof whereby the covers extend over at least a portion of the radially outermost area of each lug-shaped member.

A wheel cover with a retainment arrangement that includes several U-shaped retaining springs clipped onto a circumferential ring; the retaining springs engage thereby with one leg in a groove-shaped recess provided in the wheel rim while the circumferential ring consists of a separate essentially non-springy support ring; the wheel cover is thereby supported at the support ring while the retaining springs are clipped onto the support ring.

A wheel cover which includes a mounting comprising several retaining springs detachably arranged at the wheel cover. Each of the retaining springs has a U-shaped configuration and includes a bent-over section with two legs adjoining the bent-over section and resiliently engaging into a channel-like indentation in a rim of a wheel. Each of the retaining springs are pretensionable to a specific predetermined value.

Wheel cover

A wheel cover for wheels of a passenger motor vehicle which includes a mounting arrangement formed of several retaining elements located on the wheel cover. The retaining elements are adapted to engage in groove-shaped recesses in a wheel rim by means of flexible locking elements. The retaining elements are provided with opposite bearing portions that are associated with each of the locking elements, with the opposite bearing portion supporting themselves at a dish of the wheel.

Wheel covering

A central locking mechanism for web disk wheels having a central guide bushing which is provided with a central receiving bore for accommodating a wheel carrier pin with radial centering of the web disk wheel with respect to the wheel carrier pin and with a central threaded connection between the web disk wheel and the wheel carrier pin by way of a nut which is adapted to be screwed onto the wheel carrier pin. The nut is guided rotatably and axially displaceable with respect to the guide bushing and is captively joined thereto.

A wheel cover for solid wheels which include air suction openings provided in a wheel pan. The wheel cover includes a cover plate which terminates in a region of the wheel flange and defines with the wheel flange an annular air outlet opening. A plurality of more or less radially extending ventilator fins are disposed on a backside of the cover plate and the cover plate is provided in a radially inner zone of the ventilator fins with additional air suction openings. The ventilator fins are integrally formed with the cover plate and terminate radially outwardly about a periphery of the cover plate.

An installation for the automatic control of the light projection distance of motor vehicle headlights in dependence on the positional change of the vehicle body, in which in case of a positional change of the vehicle body toward one side when driving through a curve, an analogous control of the light projection distance of the headlight takes place in such a manner that, for example, with right-hand traffic and when driving through a right-hand curve, the light projection distance is decreased and vice versa is increased in a left-hand curve.
