A method for producing a rotor cup for an open-end spinning rotor includes forming separating structures on a front-side rim of the rotor cup for breaking up and preparing a yarn end for piecing. The separating structures are formed by a non-mechanical manufacturing method without contact between the front-side rim and a mechanical forming tool. A rotor cup formed in accordance with the method is also provided.

A thread draw-off nozzle for an open-end spinning device includes a nozzle insert configured to deflect a yarn produced by the open-end spinning device. A nozzle frame fixes the thread draw-off nozzle in the open-end spinning device. The nozzle frame includes a cylindrical shank, which has a centering diameter and a length that is shorter than half the centering diameter.

In an open-end spinning rotor with a rotor cup, and with a rotor shaft, through which the spinning rotor is supported in a bearing, the rotor shaft and the rotor cup are detachably connected to each other through a coupling device. The coupling device includes a positive-locking connection for the transmission of the turning moment between the rotor cup and the rotor shaft, along with a magnetic device for the axial connection of the rotor shaft and the rotor cup. The rotor shaft features at least one projection with a one turning moment-transmitting area, which engages in a recess of the rotor cup with a turning moment-transmitting counter-area. A socket for a permanent magnet is arranged on the rotor cup.

The hollow interior of an open-end spinning rotor is defined by an inner contour, which comprises a fiber sliding surface and a fiber collecting groove. The front surface of the open-end spinning rotor may have an opening width of between 19 and 23 mm, the fiber sliding surface may have a tapering of a maximum of 10&#xb0;, and while the diameter of the fiber collecting groove may measure less than 30 mm.
