A steam turbine, having a steam turbine outer housing; a high-pressure inner housing having first process steam inlet and outlet sections for conducting process steam therethrough from the inlet to the outlet section in a first process steam expansion direction; a low-pressure inner housing having second process steam inlet and outlet sections for conducting process steam therethrough from the second process steam inlet section to the second process steam outlet section in a second process steam expansion direction; and an intermediate superheater, which is arranged downstream of the high-pressure inner housing and upstream of the low-pressure inner housing, wherein the high-pressure and low-pressure inner housings are arranged within the steam turbine outer housing and the high-pressure and the low-pressure inner housings are arranged in such a way that the first steam inlet section of the high-pressure inner housing faces the second steam inlet section of the low-pressure inner housing.

Steam turbine and method for operating same

The invention relates to a device for extracting carbon-containing substances, in particular bitumen, from oil sands. The device comprises two separate steam circuits. The first steam circuit is a closed steam circuit, in which a steam turbine () is operating. The second steam circuit is an open steam circuit and is used for extracting carbon-containing substances, in particular bitumen, from oil sands. The steam turbine () comprises an intermediate steam removal facility (), wherein the intermediate steam is used to evaporate the water/vapor in the second steam circuit via a heat exchanger. The invention further relates to a method for extracting carbon-containing substances by means of the previously described device.

Device and method for extracting carbon-containing substances from oil sand

A steam turbine system including a steam turbine is provided. The steam turbine system includes a high-pressure side steam inlet device, a low-pressure side steam device, and a control device for controlling the steam turbine. An additional steam inlet device is also included arranged between the high-pressure side steam inlet device and the low-pressure side steam device. The control device control a supply of steam via the additional steam inlet device as a function of operating parameters detected at the steam turbine system.
