A method for producing a battery includes providing a cup-shaped first housing part having a bottom and a side wall, the bottom and the side wall each having an inside and an outside. The method further includes covering the inside of the bottom of the first housing part with an electrically conductive covering, electrically connecting the electrically conductive covering to the bottom of the first housing part by welding, electrically connecting an electric conductor to the electrically conductive covering by welding, and assembling the first housing part and a second housing part to form a housing of the battery, the housing enclosing an interior space that includes a composite body therein. The composite body includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and the electric conductor. The inside of the bottom and the inside of the side wall of the first housing part face the interior space.

Battery and process for producing a battery

A method for producing a battery includes depositing, via sputter deposition, a coating on at least a portion of a cup shaped first housing part of the battery. The coating includes aluminium, chromium, tin, and/or an alloy having two or more of the group consisting of aluminium, chromium, and tin. The method also includes establishing an electrical connection between a current conductor of the battery and the cup-shaped first housing part of the battery and assembling the cup-shaped first housing part of the battery and a second housing part of the battery to form a housing of the battery. The housing has an interior space that includes a composite body including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and the current conductor. The cup-shaped first housing part has a circular or oval bottom and a ring-shaped side wall.

An electrochemical cell includes an annular electrode composite body; and an annular liquid-tight housing formed as a hollow cylinder and including an annular interior space, wherein the housing is arranged around a central aperture or recess, the housing has a height of 5 mm to 40 mm and an external diameter of 6 mm to 20 mm, and the annular electrode composite body is arranged in the annular interior space.

Electrochemical cell and apparatus containing the cell

An electrochemical cell includes a composite electrode body with at least one positive and at least one negative electrode; an electrolyte that impregnates the composite electrode body; and a housing with a liquid-impervious interior, wherein the composite electrode body impregnated with the electrolyte is disposed in the interior, and the housing consists of PEK or a PEK based material.

An electrochemical cell that generates hydrogen has an anode including an electrochemically oxidizable substance and an electrode designed for hydrogen generation as a cathode and an aqueous alkaline electrolyte. The anode and the cathode are designed such that the hydrogen generation begins at the cathode as soon the anode and the cathode are electrically connected to one another. At least one resistance foil is adhesively bonded to at least one outer side of the housing which, when it is connected as a load resistance between the anode and the cathode, reduces the current flow between the anode and the cathode and therefore also the gas generation rate.

A DME-free lithium battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a liquid electrolyte composed of a solvent and at least one lithium electrolyte salt and with which the electrode and the separator are impregnated, wherein the solvent includes propylene carbonate (PC) as a first solvent component and 1,3-dioxolane (DOL) as a second solvent component, and the positive electrode and/or the negative electrode have a proportion of carbon black having a BET surface area of at least 1 m/g.
