A closure cap for a container filled with a medical fluid and having a mouthpiece sealed by a pierceable membrane includes a cap-shaped closure body and a drinking stub with an opening for drinking purposes. The drinking stub is pivotable between a first position, in which the drinking stub bears against the closure body, and a second position, in which the drinking stub protrudes from the closure body, such that, when the drinking stub is pivoted, the membrane of the container is pierced and a connection is produced between the opening in the drinking stub and the container interior.

The invention relates to a closure cap for a container filled with medicinal fluid, which container has an aperture piece which is sealed off by a diaphragm which can be punctured. The closure cap has a cap-shaped closure body () and a drinking neck () with a drinking opening () which is pivotable between a first position, in which the drinking neck bears against the closure cap, and a second position, in which the drinking neck projects from the closure cap. In addition, the closure cap has means () for puncturing the diaphragm which seals off the aperture piece of the container, which means () interact with the drinking neck in such a way that, as the drinking neck () is pivoted, the diaphragm is punctured such that a connection is produced between the opening () of the drinking neck and the container interior. The closure cap is characterized in that the closure body has, in addition to the opening () of the drinking neck (), an opening () for ventilating the container during drinking.

A connector for packings containing medical liquids, particularly infusion, transfusion or enteral bags, comprises a connecting part () for accommodating a spike for drawing out the liquid and comprises a closure part () that closes the passage () inside the connecting part (). The connecting part () has an elastically deformable pinching off part () provided in the form of a tubular section with a non-circular cross-section. A base part (), which widens on both sides is adjoined to said pinching off part () and can be integrated in the packing. During manufacturing, the packing is filled with liquid via the connecting part. After filling, the pinching off part is pressed together whereby preventing liquid from escaping. Afterwards, the closure part is placed onto the connecting part. The manufacturing of the packing is simplified by virtue of the fact that an additional tube for connecting the connector and packing is rendered unnecessary.

A connector system consists of a coupling system and a port system for coupling a flexible tubing system to a container containing medicinal fluids. The coupling system includes a spike to which the flexible tubing system can be connected and a sheath enveloping the spike over its entire length. The spike sheath consists of two parts that can be screwed together for telescopic elongation or shortening. For connection of the coupling system to the port system, the spike sheath is connected to the port system. Then the first part is screwed onto the second part completely, whereby the spike advances and pierces a diaphragm of the port system.

A sterile connector is provided including a coupler, a protective cap, and a puncturable membrane film. The coupler has a tubular top with an upper edge defining an inwardly facing continuous shoulder, a mounting piece connected to the inwardly facing continuous shoulder adapted to sealably receive a plunge pin, a bottom insertable into a container having wall and sealable to the container wall, and a channel-like passage extending between the top and the bottom. The protective cap is attached to the tubular top of the coupler to seal the top, and has a lower edge connected to the inwardly facing continuous shoulder to define an annular rupture zone. The puncturable membrane film is sealed to the bottom of the coupler to close the channel-like passage. The sterile connector may be combined with a container, attached to the bottom of the coupler, to define an assembly.

A sterile connector for containers holding medicinal liquids comprising a base body with a lower part that can be inserted into the container wall and which can be sealed with respect to the container wall and an upper part equipped with a passage for the liquid. At the lower side and/or the upper side of the base body a barrier module is provided that is an injection molded part with a core made of a material that is essentially impermeable to certain gases and an envelope made of a material of which the base body is made. The connector together with the barrier module offers improved gas tightness and can be manufactured cost-effectively in large numbers

Sterile connector for containers which contain medicinal liquids

An air separator for liquid containing gas bubbles having an essentially cylinder-shaped chamber through which liquid, such as blood, flows essentially in helical flow paths, with the result that air bubbles are driven in a radial direction relative to the longitudinal axis of the chamber because of pressure differences produced by centrifugal forces. The inlet and outlet of the chamber of the air separator are coaxial relative to each other in the longitudinal axis of the chamber. The air separator also includes a flow-deflection component or influx distributor, which includes a rotation-symmetrical base body element whose outer surface faces inflowing liquid as a first deflection surface, which is geometrically defined by rotation of a curve section about the longitudinal axis of the chamber. The first deflection surface has deflection surface deflector vanes, which are curved in planes perpendicular relative to the longitudinal axis of the chamber, with the result that axially inflowing liquid is deflected so that desired helical flow development is induced.
