A pneumatic supply device for an agricultural tractor includes a compressed air source for producing a compressed air flow, a cooler for cooling the air flow produced, and a first air dryer, which is fed with the cooled air flow and via the outlet of which a first pneumatic consumer group can be supplied with dehumidified compressed air in accordance with a first dehumidification and flow capacity, and a second air dryer, which is fed with the cooled air flow and via the outlet of which a second pneumatic consumer group can be supplied with dehumidified compressed air in accordance with a second dehumidification and flow capacity.

Pneumatic supply device for an agricultural tractor

A tractor includes a vehicle coupler which couples with a trailer brake coupler to connect it to a pressure source for the trailer brake system. The pressure source is driven by a controllable drive unit, and an electronic control unit controls the activation of the drive unit. The vehicle coupler includes a first sensor which is connected to the control unit and which senses when the trailer coupler is coupled to the vehicle coupler. The control unit controls the activation of the drive unit in response to the sensor in order to prevent the pressure source from being driven unnecessarily.

Coupler for a vehicle

The invention relates to a steering system for an agricultural or industrial utility vehicle, especially for a tractor. An electric drive () is provided for each half of an axle, preferably a front axle (), of the utility vehicle (). Said electric drive can be driven by at least one wheel () associated with the each axle half. The electric drive () can be controlled in such a manner that predetermined torque can be transmitted from the electric drive () to the wheel () which is being driven. Preferably, the wheels () associated with a mechanical drive axle, particularly a rear axle () of the utility vehicle (), can be driven by a mechanical drive () of the utility vehicle (). The invention also relates to a method for operating a steering system. The aim of the invention is to enable traction forces to be transmitted by wheels () driven by the electric drives (), even when the utility vehicle () negotiates bends, whereby particular braking torque should be prevented on said wheels () in specific steering angles. The torque which is to be transmitted to the wheel on the outside of the bend is greater that the torque which is to be transmitted to the wheel on the inside of the wheel in order to support or effect the steering of the utility vehicle.

Steering system for an agricultural or industrial utility vehicle and method for operating a steering system

The invention relates to a system for regulating the pressure of tires mounted on a vehicle. The vehicle has an engine with a turbocharger which is a compressed air source for the pressure regulating system. The turbocharger has a variable geometry in order to supply a sufficiently high pressure.

Tire pressure regulating system

A drive system for vehicles, especially for commercial vehicles such as agricultural or industrial tractors, the vehicle having at least one first wheel that is driven by an associated axle or single-wheel drive motor and at least one second wheel, in the drive train of which a gearbox that can be shifted between at least two speed transmission steps is arranged. To avoid vehicle speed drops while shifting the change-speed gearbox and to avoid interfering shifting jolts, it is suggested to provide a device for the detection of a shift command and a control unit, which in the presence of a shift command automatically applies a greater load at least on the drive motor driving the first wheel, controls the shifting operation of the change-speed gearbox of the second wheel and then lowers the load of the drive motor driving the first wheel.

Drive system for vehicles

An axle assembly has a fixed axle housing, a rotating axle body rotatably mounted in said axle housing, and a first chamber which surrounds the axle body. The first chamber is partially bounded by a ring member which rotates with the axle body. An annular disc is mounted on the axle body adjacent to the ring member. The disc extends radially outwardly beyond an outer rim of the ring member and radially overlaps the ring member. The disc is axially slidable towards and away from the ring member. When the disc is spaced apart from the ring member an opening or space is formed therebetween through which may be communicated pressurized air to inflate a tire. The disc is moved axially by a ring mounted on an annular piston member which is mounted on and axially movable with respect to the axle housing.
