The invention relates to an injection moulding machine having a coating installation, wherein the injection moulding machine has at least one fixed platen and one movable platen for the fastening of mould tool halves of at least one mould tool, and the coating installation has first pressure-generating and/or first pressure-conducting means for coating components at a first, relatively low pressure level and second pressure-generating and/or second pressure-conducting means for the coating components at a second, relatively high pressure level, wherein at least all second pressure-generating and all second pressure-conducting means are coupled to the movable platen so as to be jointly movable along a movement path of the movable platen.

Injection moulding machine having a coating installation

In a method for coating a molded part (), in particular a molded part produced by injection molding, the molded part () is arranged in a cavity () of a molding tool (), wherein a partial cavity () between the molded part () and a first molding-tool half () of the molding tool () remains when a closing force (F) is applied to the molding tool () at a first closing-force level. A coating mass () is introduced into the partial cavity () and the coating mass () is cured/cross-linked. The closing force (F) of the molding tool () is increased during the curing/cross-linking of the coating mass (), wherein the increase in the closing force (F) causes a volume reduction of the partial cavity () due to elastic deformation of the molding tool () and/or elastic deformation of the molded part ().

Method for coating a molded part

In a method for producing flat molded plastic parts, for example panes, a mold is first filled completely with plastic material and additional plastic material is subsequently added, in such a way that the mold distends in a defined manner in opposition to the clamping force. The distension compensates for material shrinkage during a subsequent cooling operation, thus preventing sink marks and permitting the production of, for example, panes of high optical quality.

Method and apparatus for making flat molded plastic articles

A method of producing a composite plastic molded article having at least one layer of web material and a plastic body, includes placement of the web material between mold halves of an injection mold and deforming the web material through closing of the mold. Subsequently, negative pressure is applied on one side of the web material and/or excess pressure is applied on its other side, so that the web material bears upon a mold half. Plastic mass is then introduced into the opening mold in such a way that the feed rate of the plastic mass and the opening speed of the injection mold are coordinated with each other. Once a certain opening gap has been reached, the mold is closed and the plastic article is embossed.

Method of producing coated molded plastic articles, and injection mold

Apparatus for producing thermoplastic injection-molded parts reinforced with long fibers, includes a compounder having two meshing screws rotating in a same direction for continuously generating a stream of melt of thermoplastic material reinforced with long fibers. Melt is alternatingly conducted to at least two piston and cylinder units for injection into at least one cavity of an injection mold at a suitable pressure. Each of the piston and cylinder units includes a cylinder and a differential piston movably received in the cylinder and dividing the cylinder into a feed chamber and an injection chamber, wherein the piston has a relatively greater piston surface, adjacent the injection chamber, and a relatively smaller piston surface, adjacent the feed chamber. The differential piston has a passageway for interconnecting the greater piston surface and the smaller piston surface to permit a flow of melt from the feed chamber into the injection chamber, whereby a flow of melt from the injection chamber back to the feed chamber is inhibited by a non-return valve disposed in the passageway of the differential piston.
