The invention relates to an inflator holder () for an airbag module () comprising a holder bottom part () in which an inflator receiving hole () is formed and comprising a holder sidewall part () which delimits, together with the holder bottom part (), a receiving compartment () for an inflator () open on a discharge side () opposed to the holder bottom part (). The inflator holder () includes a filter grid () for exhausting gas fastened on the inflator holder () which filter grid at least partially delimits the receiving compartment () on the discharge side (). In addition, the invention relates to an airbag module () comprising an airbag (), an inflator () and said inflator holder ().

Gas generator container and airbag module

A front airbag () for a vehicle occupant (), especially a passenger airbag, comprises a contact panel () facing the vehicle occupant () in the inflated state, wherein in the interior of the airbag at the contact panel () first tensile means () are arranged which in portions retain the contact panel () in the inflated state of the airbag () and are disposed so that the contact panel () forms a side bulge on at least one of its two lateral edges and forms plural central bulges between the lateral edges which central bulges are smaller in cross-section than the at least one side bulge. At least a second tensile means () is disposed so that the contact panel () forms an upper bulge () which substantially extends in the transverse vehicle direction (y) and, with respect to a vertical vehicle axis (z), is disposed above the central bulges.

Front airbag for a vehicle occupant

An air bag module () includes an air bag () having a deflated condition and an inflated condition and a structure () for supporting the air bag. A first tether () has a first end connected to the structure via an actuatable fastener () and an opposite second end connected to the air bag (). A second tether () having a first end secured to the first tether () by a releasable connection () at a location between the first and second ends of the first tether. The second tether has a second end connected to a deployable portion of the air bag ().

Dual volume air bag

An occupant protection device on a passenger side of a vehicle includes a gas bag () having a front wall () facing an interior of the vehicle. The occupant protection device further includes a tether strap () arranged inside the gas bag (). The tether strap () has a first fastening section () and an elongated second fastening section (). The first and second fastening sections () are fastened to the front wall () of the gas bag (). The second fastening section () extends substantially vertically in an unfolded state of the gas bag ().

A gas bag module includes a module housing (), a gas bag () having a gas bag wall (), a discharge opening () which can be closed by a closure device (), and a limiting strap (), the limiting strap () being coupled with the gas bag wall () and the closure device (). The limiting strap () is tensioned in case of an unimpeded unfolding of the gas bag () such that the closure device () closes the discharge opening (), and the limiting strap () is guided along the gas bag wall ().

Gas bag module

A gas bag module () for a vehicle occupant restraint system comprises a housing with a gas generator support () and a covering (). The housing consists at least partly of a thermoplastic elastomer. The thermoplastic elastomer is foamed using a physical or chemical foaming agent.

Gas bag module for a vehicle occupant restraint system

A gas bag for a vehicle occupant restraint arrangement includes an inner fabric layer (), a middle fabric layer () and an outer fabric layer () lying one over another. Each fabric layer () has a section in which at least one opening () is formed. The overlapping of the sections with the openings () form a discharge opening of the gas bag. The section of the middle fabric layer () is movable relative to the sections of the inner and outer fabric layers () depending on the internal pressure of the gas bag and thereby altering the cross section of the discharge opening.
