The present invention is concerned with different novel concepts for reducing latency in data transmission. These concepts may be exploited by a transceiver configured to perform wireless data communication with a third party device by aggregating time division duplex carriers having different temporal distribution of uplink times and downlink times. These concepts may further be exploited by an apparatus configured to perform data transmission or reception via allocations of transmission resources of aggregated carriers in units of transmission time intervals into which the aggregated carriers are subdivided, wherein the aggregated carriers are temporally subdivided into the transmission time intervals in a temporal grid, respectively, wherein the aggregated carriers' grids are temporally mutually offset.

Transmission of data by multiple users over shared resources

Various embodiments to enable Spectrum Access System (SAS) controlled interference management are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a memory to store network configuration data and a processing device coupled to the memory. The processing device to generate a protection band based on interference measurements. The protection band is allocated to at least one of the infrastructure node of a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network infrastructure. In this regard, the interference measurements are related to transmissions of data between infrastructure nodes of the LTE network infrastructure. Thereupon, a time slot is determined for the at least one of the infrastructure node based on the protection band. The time slot indicates an allocated time frame to access data in the LTE network infrastructure using a radio frequency in accordance with the protection band.

Embodiments of a Spectrum Access System (SAS) controller, Evolved Node-B (eNB) and methods for allocation of shared spectrum are disclosed herein. The SAS controller may receive an indicator that a group of channels in the shared spectrum are available for secondary usage. The SAS controller may allocate one or more channels in the group to eNBs for usage in one or more census tracts. The census tracts may include interior and exterior portions, in some cases. Fractional frequency reuse (FFR) techniques may be used in accordance with the interior and exterior portions of the census tracts for allocation of the channels. Channels may be allocated for Priority Access License (PAL) usage and/or General Authorized Access (GAA) usage, in some cases.
