The invention concerns a dosing pump for moving a fluid, comprising a dosing head in which there is a dosing chamber and a displacement element reciprocatable between a first and a second position, wherein the displacement element delimits the dosing chamber, and the volume of the dosing chamber in the first position of the displacement element is greater than the volume of the dosing chamber in the second position of the displacement element, wherein the displacement element is coupled to a linear motor by way of a stroke element in such a way that in operation of the linear motor the stroke element performs a forward stroke and a return stroke in a housing in a direction of a movement axis with a stroke length h and the displacement element is reciprocated between the first position and the second position. To provide a dosing pump and to improve dosing pumps which are driven with a linear motor it is therefore proposed according to the invention that the stroke element has a cross-sectional area Q perpendicularly to the movement axis, wherein the square of the stroke length h is at least forty times greater than the cross-sectional area Q.

Dosing pump with linear motor

A diaphragm unit for a diaphragm pump includes a diaphragm core and a multi-layer pump diaphragm connected to the diaphragm core. The pump diaphragm has a fluid-impermeable working layer which comes into contact with a fluid to be delivered, and a fluid-impermeable safety layer. A sealed volume for receiving fluid passing through the working layer is arranged between the working layer and the safety layer. A first clamping region of the diaphragm forms a ring which annularly surrounds the diaphragm core. To detect a rupture of the working diaphragm layer, at least one element of a sensor is provided within the ring formed by the first clamping region for detecting fluid which penetrates into the sealed volume.

Diaphragm rupture monitoring

A pressure retention valve including a housing having an inlet passage and an outlet passage that can be connected together and a separating diaphragm subdividing the housing into two portions, wherein, in operation of the valve, a first portion conveys fluid and a second portion is fluid-free. The valve further includes a valve seat defining an end of the inlet passage, arranged in the fluid-conveying portion of the housing, and has a first sealing surface, a shut-off body which is arranged movably in the fluid-conveying portion of the housing and has a second sealing surface, and a spring element having a spring force, which is arranged in the fluid-free portion of the pressure retention valve. The spring element is so arranged that its spring force prestresses the second sealing surface in the direction towards the first sealing surface so that in a position of the shut-off body that closes the valve the sealing surfaces are in engagement with each other and the shut-off body separates the inlet passage from the outlet passage. The inlet passage is so arranged that a fluid flowing in through the inlet passage in operation of the valve is applied to the shut-off body in such a way that the fluid exerts on the shut-off body a force which acts in opposition to the spring force of the spring element. The shut-off body has a guide portion which extends into the inlet passage, and the inlet passage is portion-wise of such a design configuration that it forms a guide bush in which the guide portion of the shut-off body is guidedly received.

Pressure retention valve

A separation element of a multi-layer structure for pressure compensation including: at least two mutually superposed flexible, fluid-tight material layers; at least one spacer element which is arranged between the material layers and holds them at a spacing relative to each other, wherein the at least one spacer element is such that the space between the flexible, fluid-tight material layers is at least partly adapted for fluid to flow therethrough, and at an edge region of the multi-layer structure the separation element has a sensor region (S) which is in a communication with remaining space between the flexible, fluid-tight material layers through which fluid can flow, wherein within the sensor region, the flexible, fluid-tight material layers are designed so that, by virtue of an inflow of fluid between them, an increase of pressure causes an increase in the spacing between the material layers relative to each other.

Separation element

A safety diaphragm for a diaphragm pump, which makes it possible to detect a rupture of the diaphragm during operation or when at a standstill. The diaphragm has at least two diaphragm layers () arranged lying one on top of the other The diaphragm has a clamping region (E) for fixing the diaphragm in a pump and has an adjacent operational region (A). The diaphragm layer () are connected to each other so that they are sealed against penetration of liquid and/or gas between the diaphragm layers (). The diaphragm, in one section of the clamping region (E), has a sensor region (S) where the diaphragm layers () are formed so that, in the case of an increase in pressure between the diaphragm layers (), the layers in sensor region (S) deform more easily than in the other sections of the diaphragm.
