Process for the production of cleaning and care preparations containing

Bathroom fittings and other hard surfaces are cleaned with a foam containing an alkyl polyglycoside as the principal surfactant. An effective amount of the foam is applied to a surface and removed by wiping with a cloth, sponge, or paper towel or by rinsing with water. Any residual foam remaining on the surface is not detectable by the naked eye because the residual material is transparent.

Method for cleaning bathroom fittings

A process for the removal of stains from fabrics, such as carpets. The process comprises treating the stained areas of the fabrics with a liquid, paste-form or foam-form stain remover and subjecting the entire fabric to cleaning with a powder-form cleaning composition before the treated areas have dried. The preferred stain remover is an aqueous composition containing a surfactant, and the preferred powder-form cleaning composition contains a finely divided cellulose powder as an adsorbent. The new process is suitable above all for the cleaning of carpets and carpeted floors.

In a cleaning system for toilet bowls comprising a cleaning container for accommodating a cleaning preparation which is designed to be mounted on the rim of the toilet bowl and which is provided with correspondingly arranged openings for part of the flushing water to pass through, the invention enables the cleaning container to be filled with granular active substance without spillage and/or granulate to come into contact with the skin. In addition, the cleaning container is designed so that in the in-use position, its contents are substantially inaccessible to young children despite the refill facility. To this end, the cleaning container is provided with a closeable filling opening into which the mouth of a refill container adpated to the configuration of the filling opening is designed to be inserted in such a way that a pourable, more especially granular, cleaning preparation in the refill container can be poured into the cleaning container by opening the closure of the filling opening and keeping it open without any other manipulation of the closure of the cleaning container, after which the refill container may be withdrawn from the filling opening with automatic reclosing of the closure.

A two-component tablet for cleaning and disinfecting toilet flush tanks which adhere to the tank and will not be washed away and/or decomposed comprising extruded component A consisting essentially of (a) 10 to 50% by weight of an alkylbenzene sulfonate, (b) 0 to 40% by weight of inorganic alkali metal salts, (c) 0 to 10% by weight of at least one plasticizer, (d) 5 to 25% by weight of at least one disintegration rate regulator selected from the group consisting of fatty acid ethanolamides, fatty acid diethanolamides and stearic acid, (e) 0 to 50% of a disinfectant selected from a chlorine releasing compound or an active oxygen containing compound or acid and (f) 0 to 30% by weight of a complexing agent with the sum of (e) and (f), being greater than 5% and component B consisting essentially of (a') 20 to 55% by weight of an alkylbenzene sulfonate, (b') 15 to 45% by weight of inorganic alkali metal salts, (c') 0 to 10% by weight of at least one plasticizer, (d') 5 to 25% by weight of at least one disintegration rate regulator selected from the group consisting of fatty acid ethanolamides, fatty acid diethanolamides and stearic acid, (e') 1 to 10% by weight of perfume and (f') 5 to 15% by weight of dye, the sum of (c') and (e') being not greater than 10%, component A and B occupying different portions of the final tablet.
