A storage or infusion bottle () has an integrally molded bottle neck () with a teat-shaped bottle feature () projecting from its mouth end. The closed teat end wall () of the bottle feature is puncturable by an infusion needle. A cap () is attachable to the bottle neck () and has a funnel-shaped cap feature () with an interior space accommodating the free end region of the bottle feature (). The intermediate space between the end wall of the bottle feature () and the opposing side of the cap feature () is completely filled by a hat-shaped sealing element () enclosing the bottle feature () at least in its end region remote from the bottle ().

Needle shield

A needle shield is removably mountable to a syringe to protect a user from inadvertent needle pricks and limit contamination of a needle of the syringe. The needle shield includes a plug having an external surface and a shell having an inner surface defining a cavity therein. The plug is positioned within the cavity and a portion of the external surface of the plug is in contact with the inner surface of the shell at a contact area. The plug is non-removably bonded to the shell in the contact area by melting a portion of the shell and the plug in the contact area through application of radiation energy. A securing ring may alternatively be fixed to the shell through the application of radiation energy to secure a shoulder of the plug between the ring and a rib of the shell. The radiation energy is preferably applied by laser welding.

A closure () for a medicament bottle has a cap portion (), which can be joined to the bottle and which has at least one opening () closed by an elastic, puncturable sealing layer (). The opening () is covered on the exterior of the cap portion by a cover element () which, with its edge area () that encircles the opening (), is joined with positive, interlocking fit, but without material bonding with the rim () of the opening (). The sealing layer touches the rear side of the covering element facing the opening in a manner that is flush, sterile and without material bonding. The closure is made by a process in which the cap portion and cover element(s) are first produced and joined together, and then the sealing layer is injected into the cap portion.
