The present disclosure relates to thermoplastic polycarbonate compositions comprising a first polycarbonate component, a second polycarbonate component comprising an isosorbide/resorcinol/bisphenol-A polycarbonate terpolymer, and at least one impact modifier. The disclosed compositions have, among other characteristics, improved Notched Izod Impact strength, tensile modulus, tensile strength, and multi-axial impact strength. Polycarbonate compositions with improved impact resistance

In some embodiments, a multilayer sheet comprises: a first cap layer formed from a first cap composition comprising polycarbonate and potassium perfluorobutane sulfonate; a second cap layer formed from a second cap composition comprising polycarbonate and potassium perfluorobutane sulfonate; and a core layer formed from a core composition comprising polycarbonate and without potassium perfluorobutane sulfonate. The core layer is disposed between the first cap layer and the second cap layer.

Multilayer sheet and methods of making and articles comprising the multilayer sheet

Disclosed is a thermoplastic composition comprising a polycarbonate terpolymer comprising structures derived from structures (I), (II) and (III), wherein (I) is a dihydroxy compound having the structure (A): wherein n is 0 to 4 and Ris independently a halogen atom, a Chydrocarbon group, or a Chalogen substituted hydrocarbon group; (II) comprises a second dihydroxy compound derived from Formula (A) and different from (I) and wherein n and Rare as previously defined; and (III) a third dihydroxy compound not derived from Formula (A), wherein the sum of the mol percent of all of structures (I) and (II) is greater than 45% relative to the sum of the molar amounts of all of structures (I), (II) and (III) in the polycarbonate terpolymer and wherein said polycarbonate terpolymer is amorphous; an impact modifier; an ungrafted rigid copolymer; and a flame retardant. The thermoplastic composition has improved chemical resistance and flame retardance.

Flame retardant thermoplastic polycarbonate compositions

Polycarbonate compositions are disclosed. The compositions comprise a polycarbonate polymer (A) having repeating units derived from at least three different monomers, one monomer being 2-phenyl-3,3-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)phthalimidine (PPPBP); and the other two monomers having the formula: wherein each Ris independently a halogen atom, a Chydrocarbon group, or a Chalogen substituted hydrocarbon group, and n is 0 to 4; and an impact modifier (B). The resulting composition has improved heat resistance and chemical resistance, particularly to Fuel C.
