One wireless telecommunications system includes a Mobile Central Office (MCO) for capacity sharing via a master scheduling system. The MCO is communicatively coupled to a plurality of wireless base stations, each being operable to handle a session from a wireless device and to handoff the session to another wireless base station when the wireless device moves into a range of the other base station. Each of the wireless base stations is operable to convey capacity information to the master scheduling system through the MCO, and to acquire capacity from one or more wireless base stations of another MCO when directed by the master scheduling system.

Capacity sharing between wireless systems

Managing wireless access points and/or other devices providing wireless signaling to multiple clients is contemplated. The wireless access point may be managed according to a load balancing strategy directed towards achieving desired network throughput using forced disassociation of clients based on traffic type or other service related indicators and/or force disassociation of roaming partners based on neighboring access point capabilities.

Systems and methods presented herein provide for reducing latency in wireless service through a communication link comprising a Modem Termination System (MTS) and a modem. The communication link is coupled with a virtualized wireless link. In one embodiment, a method includes transferring a buffer status report (BSR) from a user equipment (UE) through the communication link to a control portion of the virtualized wireless link, generating a wireless grant to allow the data of the UE through virtualized wireless link, and generating a backhaul grant for the UE to transfer data through the communication link based on the wireless grant information.

Systems and methods for latency reduction

A wireless communications system includes a feedback processing unit for analyzing captured bandwidth data from a remote radio head, and a problem-type processor in operable communication with the feedback processing unit. The problem-type processor is configured to (i) analyze the captured bandwidth data to determine whether the captured bandwidth data presents one of a computational polynomial time problem and a non-deterministic polynomial-time hard (NP-hard) problem, and (ii) transmit problem-specific data based on the determination. The system further includes a communications processor in operable communication with the problem-type processor. The system further includes a quantum computer in operable communication with the problem-type processor. A method for reducing latency during handover of user equipment (UE) between wireless base stations includes (a) receiving, at a network hub in an edge communication network, a first wireless signaling message from a source wireless base station, (b) determining, from the first wireless signaling message at the network hub, occurrence of a handover of UE from the source wireless base station to a target wireless base station, (c) in response to determining occurrence of the handover, translating, at the network hub, an address of first data packets intended for the UE from an address of the source wireless base station to an address of the target wireless base station, and (d) forwarding the first data packets from the network hub to the target wireless base station.

The performance capabilities or parameters may be identified from information broadcasted from the wireless networks. Mobile devices capable of wirelessly connecting to the networks may identify the performance capabilities prior to connecting to the wireless networks, thereby enabling the mobile devices to more efficiently identify suitable networks.

Dynamic network selection

A notification server is provided for a multi-network wireless communication system. The notification server includes a processor and a memory having computer executable instructions stored therein. The instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive first device information from a mobile communication device wirelessly connected to a macro cell network of the multi-network wireless communication system. The instructions further cause the processor to determine, based on the received first device information, that a small cell network of the multi-network wireless communication system is available for communication with the mobile communication device. The instructions further cause the processor to transmit a notification to the mobile communication device to search for the small cell network for transition thereto.

Systems and methods presented herein provide latency reduction in wireless service through a communication link. In one embodiment, a method includes linking a modem to a Modem Termination System (MTS) via the communication link and detecting, at the modem, a message from a wireless service link indicating that a user equipment (UE) has data to transmit to a Mobile Network Operator (MNO). The method also includes requesting a data transfer from the modem to the MTS in response to detecting the message from the wireless service link and processing the request from the modem at the MTS. The method also includes granting the request while the UE is negotiating with the wireless service link to transmit the data of the UE.

A method for automatically attaching a purpose-built electronic device to a provider network includes steps of discovering, by a Wi-Fi module of the purpose-built electronic device, a wireless data network in operable communication with the provider network selecting, by the Wi-Fi module, the wireless data network, transmitting a primary authentication certificate from the Wi-Fi module to an authentication, authorization, and accounting server of the provider network, receiving, by an application server of the provider network, a secondary authentication certificate from a functionality module of the purpose-built electronic device authenticating, by the provider network, the primary and secondary authentication certificates, and attaching the purpose-built device to the provider network.
