A method and apparatus for handling stacked and/or nested products in a product line using a counter separator system, a counter device, a motive system, and a separator device is disclosed. Product to be handled is produced and moved along at least one elongated channel. When a predetermined number of products in the product line have passed the fixed reference point, the counter device triggers the motive system, which moves the separator device forward, physically separating a predetermined number of product away from the product line, creating a counted unit.

Method and apparatus for handling stacked products

A self-cleaning filter having an enclosed screen assembly, a rotatable mounted cleaning system located within the enclosed screen assembly, and a propulsion system which causes the cleaning system to rotate is disclosed. The cleaning system and the propulsion system use a frame with a fluid delivery system that is connectable to a pressurized fluid source. Fluid is delivered to propulsion apertures which generate propulsion fluid streams to provide the propulsion for the frame. Fluid also is delivered to a plurality of cleaning apertures which generate cleaning fluid streams that strike apertures in an outer cylindrical surface as the frame rotates. The cleaning fluid streams prevent clogging of the apertures in the outer cylindrical surface ensuring the filters function.

Self-cleaning filter

A fabric insertion system for placing fabric in the rock ballast roadbed of an existing railroad track at a predetermined depth beneath the ties of the track includes a car for supporting a roll of fabric which is to be inserted into the ballast. A fabric insertion sled is secured to the car in position beneath the car in the ballast at a predetermined depth beneath the ties. The sled receives fabric from the car and the fabric is diverted within the sled such that it emerges therefrom at the depth of the sled. Fabric is continuously inserted into the ballast as the car and sled are moved along the track.
