A safety cutting tool has an electrically conductive cutting element, an electrically controlled actuating motor drivingly connected to the cutting element, a gripping handle electrically insulated from the cutting element and adapted to receive a hand of an operator therein, a cutting trigger control electrically insulated from the cutting element and adapted to be actuated by the hand of the operator, and an emergency stop device that is able to respond to a contact of the operator with the cutting element. The emergency stop device includes a first manual contact, electrode and a second manual contact electrode with an electrical monitoring circuit connected thereto.

Electric cutting tool with automatic emergency stop

A safety cutting tool includes an electrically conductive cutting member, an electric motor for actuating the cutting member, a gripping handle electrically insulated from the cutting tool, a cutting trigger control that can be actuated by the hand of the user gripping the gripping handle, the cutting trigger control being electrically insulated from the cutting tool, an emergency stop device sensitive to a user coming into contact with the cutting member. The emergency stop device is controlled by a comparator comparing an impedance of a first electric circuit comprising the cutting tool and a second electric circuit used as a reference, the first and second circuits having manual contact electrodes provided on at least one of the gripping handle of the tool and the cutting trigger control. A method for controlling such a tool is also disclosed. The tool and method are is-applicable to electric secateurs and shears.

Disclosed are a control device for a power tool and a power tool provided with the control device. The control device includes an operation control interface which is provided with a manually operated controller; an impedance-measuring safety interface, wherein the impedance-measuring interface includes a first manual contact electrode and a second manual contact electrode which are electrically isolated from each other, and wherein the manual contact electrodes are provided on the controller and extend over a manual bearing surface of the controller. The device is suitable for controlling and ensuring the safe use of power tools, especially electrical tools, such as pruning shears.

Control device for a power tool and safety tool comprising such a control device

A control device for a piece of powered equipment having an electronic sensor and an electronic control board for controlling the equipment depending on a control signal from the sensor. The electronic sensor is a contactless optical sensor, provided in an interface area of the control device, configured to measure a distance separating at least one target, located in the interface area, and the optical sensor, the electronic board being configured to establish a first control of a main function of the powered equipment, when a signal from the optical sensor is established for a measured distance within a first range of distances, and to establish a control for at least one additional function of the powered equipment, different from the main function, when a signal from the optical sensor is established for a measured distance greater than the first range of distances.

Control method and device for powered equipment

Method and system for communicating between a first piece of equipment and a second piece of equipment connected to the first piece of equipment via a single-conductor transmission line, wherein data (DATADATA) are transmitted from the first piece of equipment to the second piece of equipment by pulse width modulation of a transmission signal emitted on the transmission line, and wherein data are transmitted from the second piece of equipment to the first piece of equipment by amplitude modulation of said transmission signal.
