A semi-continuous process for high-pressure sterilization of a liquid or solid product, in which the sterilization of successive volumes of the product is performed by compressing the product at high pressure in a variable treatment chamber of generally tubular shape and of circular cross-section.

The high pressure sterilization device comprises a sealed vessel (1) including a bottom wall (10) provided with an opening (12) connected to a source of pressurized fluid and a cover (20) attached to the bottom wall (10), and a slidable piston (30) mounted in a sealed manner in the vessel (1) and adapted to move in the vessel (1) under the effect of the pressure exerted by the fluid on an active surface (31) of the slidable piston (30). A high pressure treatment chamber (5) provided in the slidable piston (30) is adapted to receive the product to be sterilized, and a fixed piston (40) connected to the cover (20) is adapted to penetrate the high pressure treatment chamber (5) when moving the slidable piston (30) so as to compress the product to be sterilized.

The device includes an incremental optical encoder (3) comprising two parts, 4,5) which are displaceable in rotation within one another. One part (5) is associated with a movable component (1) and the other part (4) with a fixed component (2) and its output is connected to a device for determining the angular position of the movable component (1) relative to the fixed component (2) on the basis of the relative angular positions of the two encoder parts. A centrifugal compressor capable of rotating at high speed by means of an electric motor comprises two compression stages cantilevered one at each end of a shaft, an electric motor of which the rotor is carried by a central part of the shaft, magnetic bearings, and a magnetic stop. The motor, the bearings and the stop are placed in a housing placed under a partial vacuum. Two facial gaskets adjustable as a result of longitudinal displacement of a component and of the shaft seal the compressor and ensure sealing of the space within the housing.

The present invention relates to an elevation orientation mount for a parabolic mirror reflector of a solar heating module. The altazimuthal orientation mount according to the invention is adapted to a solar heating module comprising a parabolic mirror reflector orientable around a horizontal axis by a jack actuating unit whose cylinder is a turret and whose rod is articulated to the reflector. The jack is equipped for return and locking tending to extend the rod and to lock it at the stroke-end where the reflector occupies a position such that its axis of revolution is vertical.
