The invention relates to fragments of the Death-Domain Associated protein (DAXX protein) and of the Fas-Associated Death Domain protein (FADD protein) that inhibit cell apoptosis, in particular cell apoptosis mediated by the Fas receptor. The invention also relates to derivatives of said anti-apoptotic fragments, conjugates comprising said fragments, pharmaceutical compositions comprising said fragments, and to the medical applications of said fragments, derivatives, conjugates, and pharmaceutical compositions thereof in the treatment or prevention of diseases and conditions associated with apoptosis.

Inhibitors of apoptosis and uses thereof

The invention relates to novel oligonucleotides, the process for their preparation and their biological uses as mediators of the action of interferon. The oligonucleotides according to the invention have the formula: ##STR1## in which Y and T are identical or different and represent particularly O, S, Z and W are identical or different and represent particularly O, S, one at least of the elements Y and Z being different from oxygen, X represents particularly --CHOHCH.sub.2 OH, .SIGMA. is a whole number equal to or greater than 2, A represents adenine or one of its derivatives. These oligonucleotides have antiviral use.
