A unitary refrigerator compressor and auxiliary condenser assembly adapted to be installed in the machinery compartment of a domestic refrigerator. The assembly includes a serpentine portion of the auxiliary condenser having an inlet and outlet end connected to the compressor, and a container supported on the serpentine portion for providing evaporation of water collected in the container. The serpentine portion of the condenser and container are in intimate heat exchange contact by virtue of adhesive bonding between the two components, and are resiliently supported on the base member so as to vibrate in unison with said compressor.

A movable storage assembly for a refrigerator having a freezer compartment and fresh food compartment, the freezer compartment being separated by a partition interconnected by an air duct, with the air duct having an inlet opening in the freezing compartment and an air outlet opening in the fresh food compartment. The movable storage assembly includes a removable storage pan, a shroud for the pan having a bottom wall and two side walls and open at the front and rear. There is a cover for the pan secured to the shroud and the shroud and pan cooperate to provide an air flow path therebetween. An air director pivotally attached to the rear of the shroud is provided and there are controls, including a movable control mechanism assembly, a linkage member cooperating with the air director and the movable control mechanism assembly to move the air director to open and closed positions to regulate the amount of cold air flowing around the storage pan. The storage assembly is arranged so that it may be removably secured to the inside of the fresh food compartment.

Household refrigerator movable storage assembly

A refrigerator having a humidity controlled pan assembly which includes a storage pan having an open top and a stationary cover inside the refrigerator for receiving the pan. A cover panel within the stationary cover is movable back and forth along the top of the pan by a movable control mechanism and linkage between the control mechanism and the cover panel that moves the cover panel back and forth along the top of the pan in response to movement of the control mechanism. With this arrangement, the user of the refrigerator may move the control mechanism to increase or decrease the amount of ventilation and, thus, control the humidity inside the pan.

Household refrigerator humidity controlled pan assembly

An air flow control assembly in a refrigerator having a freezer compartment on top and a fresh food compartment on the bottom separated by a partition and interconnected by an air duct located at the rear of the compartments. The air duct has an air inlet opening in the freezer compartment and an air outlet opening in the fresh food compartment. A movable damper opens and closes the air duct outlet opening and a storage pan is located in air flow communication with the air duct outlet opening. The storage pan has a stationary cover. There is a movable control mechanism located at the front of the storage pan, a push rod linkage member cooperating at one end with the damper to open and close the air duct outlet opening upon movement of the push rod linkage member and the other end is connected to the control mechanism for moving the push rod linkage member. With this arrangement, the user of the refrigerator may move the control mechanism to control the amount of cold air flowing around the pan and, thus, control the temperature inside the pan.

Household refrigerator air flow control assembly

A gasket assembly for side-by-side doors of a household refrigerator-freezer has first and second cooperating gasket elements. Each gasket element is connected to a respective door of the refrigerator-freezer. Each gasket element has a magnet in a magnet chamber for sealing the doors one to the other and a longitudinally extending insulating chamber for contacting the refrigerator mullion and forming a seal between the respective door and the mullion, as is known in the art. The improved construction of this invention has a pair of elongated flanges, each connected to a respective insulating chamber. The flanges each extend from their respective gasket element toward the other gasket element in the closed position of the doors. Where a mullion is present, the flanges are each urged into contact with the mullion by their associated magnet for forming an improved seal. In the absence of a mullion, the flanges contact one another for sealing one gasket element to the other. The gasket elements each have a second longitudinally extending insulating chamber contacting the inner surface of the respective door for forming an improved, insulated seal.
