The present invention teaches multilayer cleaning articles that include a substantially dry surface contact layer and a gripping layer. The contact layer may represent one exposed major face of the cleaning article (e.g., a cleaning pad), while the gripping layer may represent the opposite exposed major face of the cleaning article. The contact layer may include abrasive synthetic fibers, so as to be effective in scrubbing soils and spills from a surface. The contact layer includes a cleaning composition pre-loaded therein. The cleaning composition is such that the contact layer feels dry to the touch prior to use, before wetting with water. The cleaning composition may include about 1% to about 40% by weight water. The gripping layer includes at least 40% by weight of pulp fibers (e.g., natural cellulose pulp fiber), and exhibits a mean hand grip value that is at least 0.015/in(reciprocal inches squared).

A cleaning composition for sanitizing and/or disinfecting hard surfaces, comprising: a cationic biocide, surfactant and low levels of VOC solvents. The cleaning composition is adapted to clean a variety of hard surfaces without leaving behind a visible residue and creates low levels of streaking and filming on the treated surface. The invention relates to preloaded cleaning and sanitizing wipes comprising a nonwoven substrate, and a cleaning formulation loaded onto or within the nonwoven substrate. The cleaning composition may include about 0.001% to about 10% by weight of an antimicrobial compound comprising a quaternary ammonium compound, less than about 4% by weight of an alcohol solvent containing a single hydroxyl group, a preservative, about 0.05% to about 10% by weight of a glycol solvent (e.g., preferably a glycol ether solvent), about 0.05% to about 10% of one or more surfactants, and water. The composition may have a pH from about 4 to about 8.

Preloaded dual purpose cleaning and sanitizing wipe

The water soluble strip eliminates the need to purchase and store numerous containers and/or heavy containers of cleaner that take up large amounts of shelf space.

The present invention relates to cleaning compositions containing C8-C10 alkylpolyglucosides which have low filming and streaking when combined with C2-C4 alcohols. The cleaning compositions can optionally comprise dyes, builders, fatty acids, fragrances, colorants, glycerol, anti-foaming agents, and preservatives.
