A device for a touch-sensitive characterization of surface texture is disclosed. According to one aspect, the device includes at least one three-axis force sensor at least partially covered by a coating structure including at least one first part placed against the sensor and at least a second part placed against the first part such that the first part is arranged between the sensor and the second part. The second part may include at least one protrusion arranged on a side opposite the first part and a shoulder arranged against a first face of the first part of the coating structure, located on the side opposite a second face of the first part placed against the sensor. The hardness of the material of the first part is lower than the hardness of the material of the second part.

Device for the touch-sensitive characterization of a surface texture

An actuator device including: a case housing an expandable material, a moving part that can move in translation as a result of the expansion and/or contraction of the expandable material, and a heater to heat the expandable material. The device also includes: a position sensor which measures the current position of the aforementioned moving part; and a positioner to position the moving part, including a controller acting on the above-mentioned heater according to the current measured position.

Actuator device including an expandable material

The invention relates to sensors of the speed of movement of a vehicle over the ground. The sensor comprises illumination means for illuminating the surface and at least one optical sensor able to detect the radiation returned by the surface. The illumination means and the optical sensor have one and the same optical axis, oblique in relation to the surface. This arrangement eliminates the risks of specular reflection dazzling the sensor while avoiding disturbance of the measurement by variations in the height of the sensor relative to the ground.

Optical device for measuring moving speed of an object relative to a surface

A system for measuring a magnetic signature of a vehicle, including: at least a first set of sensors (C) that are stationary and arranged along at least a first direction; at least a second set of sensors (C) that are stationary and arranged along at least a second direction that intersects the first direction; a common sensor (C) arranged at a location where the first set of sensors and the second set of sensors intersect, said common sensor belonging to the first and the second sets of sensors, wherein the first set of sensors and the second set of sensors are arranged so that the vehicle passes above at least part of the sensors of the first and second set of sensors; and a calculation device for calculating a relation between a time signature S(t) of the vehicle passing above the common sensor and a spatial profile S(x) resulting from measurements made by the first set of sensors.

Magnetic traffic control system

The measurement method of the displacement speed of a moving element with respect to a fixed element is performed by means of an optic measuring device comprising a first reference sensor and a plurality of distinct second measurement sensors substantially aligned along the axis of movement of the moving element. The measurement method comprises determination of estimated speeds by correlation of the signals supplied by the reference sensor and each of the measurement sensors, and calculation of a mean speed of said estimated speeds.

Magnetometer with structure asymmetry correction

The magnetometer includes a magnetic core () with at least one branch (), at least one exciting coil () and one take-up coil () sensitive to ambient fields thanks to the excitation field (B). An additional magnetic field, to advantage perpendicular to the previous ones, is added to eliminate very low frequency noises, without it being measured.
