Cross-country ski binding for a boot equipped with two bars ( ), comprising a latch ( ) that can be actuated by a lever ( ) to hold the front bar ( ) and a link rod ( ) equipped with a hook ( ) for catching on the rear bar ( ) of the boot. This construction is particularly compact and allows the boot a great deal of movement.

Cross-country ski binding

The brake is constituted by a cylindrical body (18) mounted rotatably and movably radially to its axis (17) in relation to the chassis (1) of the skate so as to come into contact with the two rear wheels (4, 5) on backward flexion of the leg. The cylindrical body (18) is preferably mounted with vertical play on a lever (11) actuated by a collar (9) of the boot.

In-line roller skate equipped with a brake acting on the wheels

A skate is provided, consisting of an upper chassis (3) which supports a boot (4) and which is articulated onto a lower chassis (1) provided with rollers (2), about a pin (5) located in the front half of the lower chassis. The upper chassis (3) is elastically supported. The inclination of the upper chassis (3) can be modified using an adjustment device with prepositioning, comprising a wedging part and a prepositioning member (12) that arms a spring whose relaxation brings the wedging part into the desired position when it is released by the upper chassis. A relatively weak actuation spring is sufficient.
