A flameless candle may include a side wall including an upper region and a lower region, a base engaged with the lower region of the side wall, and an upper surface extending from the upper region of the side wall to form an upper recess. The candle may also include a projection screen extending upwardly through an aperture in the upper surface. The position of the projection screen is fixed with respect to a position of the upper surface. Two sources of light positioned below the upper surface may project light through the aperture onto the projection screen. Circuitry may electrically connect to the first source of light and the second source of light. The circuitry may independently control each of the sources of light.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, a recharging device includes a recharging port that receives a flameless candle and recharges a battery in the candle. The recharging device includes a first stacking structure that has a top portion and a bottom portion. There is a top stacking contact on the top portion. An electrical power bus is connected with the top stacking contact. The electrical power bus is also configured to provide electrical power to the flameless candle through the recharging port. The top portion of the first stacking structure is configured to mate with a bottom portion of a first stacking structure of another recharging device.

The present disclosure relates to an electronic candle with an electronic light source. The electronic candle has a candle body with an interior cavity. A removable battery module supplies power to the electronic candle and is removable from the interior cavity of the candle body. The electronic candle can have a base cap module for closing the interior cavity of the candle body and a speaker for generating sound. The speaker can be positioned between the battery module and the base cap module, and directed to project sound downward. Apertures in the battery module and/or the base cap module allow sound from the speaker to pass through the aperture or apertures into the interior cavity of the candle body. Accordingly, the candle body can resonate and/or amplify sound generated by the speaker.

According to embodiments of the present invention, a flameless candle is claimed, depicted, and described. The candle has a hollow interior region, an inner surface having an radius, and an outer surface having an outer radius. The candle also has a riser located within the hollow interior region. A lamp (e.g., LED) is also located in the interior region and above the riser. A light shield is located within the hollow interior region. The light shield is below the lamp and has an outer bound with a radius. The light shield also has a sloped portion. The light shield may have a reflector. The radius of the outer bound of the light shield is less than the radius of the inner surface of the candle shell. The sloped portion of the light shield slopes downwardly towards the outer bound.

According to certain inventive techniques, a method for operating a flickering illumination control device including an electrical input and an electrical output includes receiving an input voltage at the electrical input. A non-flickering output voltage may be provided at the electrical output. While receiving the input voltage and while providing the non-flickering output voltage, a first interruption in current flowing through the electrical output may be detected. In response to the first interruption, a flickering output voltage is provided at the electrical output.

According to embodiments of the present invention, a flameless candle includes a housing, a reservoir, and a lamp. The reservoir can retain a fragrant source (e.g., solid, liquid, or mix thereof. The housing has a hollow region and a recessed area within the top surface of the housing. The recessed area is bounded by a bottom surface and a sidewall. There one or more vent holes in the sidewall. If there is a plurality of vent holes, then they may encircle the sidewall. The vent hole(s) allow an airflow from the hollow region and into the recessed area above the fragrant source. The lamp can emit a light through the bottom surface of the recessed area and through fragrant source.

According to embodiments of the present invention, an LED assembly includes a case that encapsulates a post, an anvil and an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit includes positive and negative power supply inputs. The positive power supply input is electrically connected to the post, whereas the negative power supply input is electrically connected to the anvil. The integrated circuit also includes an oscillator input, and an oscillator output. According to these embodiments, an anode lead connected to the post; and a cathode lead is connected to the anvil. Furthermore, an oscillator input lead is connected to the oscillator input and an oscillator output lead is connected to the oscillator output.

According to embodiments of the present invention, a recharging device includes a recharging port that receives a flameless candle and recharges a battery in the candle. The recharging device includes a first stacking structure that has a top portion and a bottom portion. There is a top stacking contact on the top portion. The electrical power bus is connected with the top stacking contact. The top portion of the first stacking structure is configured to mate with a bottom portion of a first stacking structure of another recharging device. In an embodiment, the bottom portion of the first stacking structure has a bottom stacking contact electrically connected with the electrical power bus. The bottom stacking contact may have a pogo spring. The recharging device may also have a second stacking structure having a top portion without an electrical contact. The second stacking structure is configured to mate with a bottom portion of another second stacking structure. In an embodiment, the device has two first stacking structures and two second stacking structures.
