A cosmetic case having an opening which is covered by a hinged pivotable lid which can pivot from a position where the case opening is exposed, to a position where the lid completely covers the opening and provides a sealed enclosure for cosmetics. A two part latching apparatus attached to the lid and case automatically latches the two together whenever the lid is closed. This two part latching apparatus utilizes complementary latching members which mate with and automatically engage each other.

A box for cosmetic products has a bottom (5) adapted to receive at least one cosmetic product, a cover (1) articulated on the bottom (5) and provided with a mirror (2) on its internal surface, as well as protective masks interposed between the bottom (5) and the cover (1) to protect the mirror (2). The masks are constituted by two flaps (6) symmetrical relative to a plane perpendicular to the axis of articulation of the cover (1) on the box (5). Each of the flaps (6) is able to pivot about an axis adjacent its end adjacent the axis of articulation and substantially orthogonal to the latter. The flaps (6) are arranged to pivot away from each other in the course of opening the cover (1) and to pivot toward each other in the course of closing the cover (1).

A bottle for the metered distribution of fluid cosmetic products, comprising a reservoir (1) with two chambers (2, 3) for two products to be distributed simultaneously. Each chamber (2, 3) has a pump (8, 9) comprising an actuating rod (10, 11), at least one push button (12), provided with an outlet opening, coacting respectively with the actuating rods (10, 11). The reservoir is constituted by a hollow body (1) open at one end and comprising a separation wall (4) defining the two chambers (2, 3). A collar (5) is welded in the reservoir (1) and onto the free end of the wall (4), and is provided with two openings (6, 7) facing respectively the chambers (2, 3). The pumps (8, 9) are secured respectively in these openings (6, 7).

A compact comprising a base (1) has a recess (3) for a dish (4) of makeup (5), an external cylindrical periphery, an intermediate plate (7) and a cover (2) articulated on the base (1) and is provided with an internal mirror (2'). The recess in the base (1) comprises an external cylindrical periphery provided with a plurality of screw ramps that are equally angularly spaced. The intermediate plate (7) has a recess in which is rotatably disposed a gripping disk (10) covering at least partially the intermediate plate (7), this gripping disk being provided with a cylindrical collar (11) provided internally with a plurality of screw ramps (12) arranged to coact with the screw ramps (6) provided on the external periphery of the recess (3), so as to grip the intermediate plate (7) against the base (1).

A box (1) for cosmetic products, comprises a base (3) and a cover (2) articulated on an edge of the base (3) and having a closure joint. At the level of the hinge of the box (1), the cover (2) has at least one resilient tongue (6) projecting into the hinge, this resilient tongue (6) bearing with resilient deformation on the base (3) during closing of the box (1).

A synthetic resin article includes a translucent or semitranslucent external portion (10) and an internal portion (1) having on its external surface an ornament, in particular a gold or silver metallization. The external and internal portions (10 and 1) comprise complementary assembly structure (8, 14; 5, 11) and are assembled by wedging and ultrasonic welding. The internal portion (1) is formed of a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of polyolefin, polyamide, PVC, polyethylene terephthalate and methylpentene resins. The external portion (10) is constituted of a translucent or semitranslucent synthetic resin. The internal portion (1) is a tubular element comprising a bottom (2) of larger transverse cross section than a tubular portion (3) of the internal portion (1) and which has a bent-back edge (4) extending along the tubular portion (3) of the tubular element creating a recess (5). The tubular element has at its open end opposite this bottom (2) a projection (8) on its external surface and the external portion (10) is a tubular element of dimensions corresponding to those of the internal portion (1), of which one of the ends has a projection (11) from its internal surface disposed in the recess (5) of the internal portion (1) and whose other end has an edge (15) bent back toward the interior of the tubular element creating a recess (14) in which is disposed the projection (8) of the internal portion (1).

Synthetic resin article in two parts and process for its production

Double dispensing receptacle with deformable walls comprising two compartments (4, 4') separated from each other and connected to a distributing head (8). The tubular body (1) of the receptacle has a substantially oval shape whose ends are formed by the two compartments (4, 4'). At least one free space (5) is provided between the compartments (4, 4'). The free space (5) deforms under the influence of manual pressure by escape of the air via an opening provided in the receptacle. The receptacle is made of an elastically deformable material, so that it resumes its original shape upon release of pressure, the outside air re-entering the free space through the opening in the receptacle. The compartments are circular in cross section and are spaced apart by the free space (5).

A proportioning device for a double dispenser has a double receptacle and a dispensing head (1), the device having, facing outlet openings (6) for the products, openings (5) of different or equal diameters. The proportioning device has a capsule (2) screwed on the dispensing head (1), having a constriction (3) holding a disk (4) having at least one pair of openings (5) of different or equal diameters which are diametrically opposed. The capsule (2) and disk (4) are covered by a ring (8) driving the disk (4) in rotation the disk (4) by teeth on the external periphery of the disk meshing with teeth on the internal surface of the ring. Use for the distribution of liquid or pasty cosmetic products.

Proportioning device for double dispenser

A case such as a cosmetic case has a base and a lid hinged on the edge of the base. Adjacent the hinge (4) of the case (1), the base (2) has at least one flexible tongue (8) of limited elasticity. The lid (3) has, facing that tongue (8), at least one rigid protuberance (6), such that during closure of the case (1), the protuberance (6) of the lid (3) will come into abutment against the flexible tongue (8) of the base (2). The limited elasticity of the flexible tongue (8) ensures that closure of the lid on the base will be stopped whilst not yet complete, thereby to leave a small gap between the lid and the base into which the fingernail can be inserted to reopen the case.

A double dispenser for fluid products, comprising, in a single casing (1), two chambers (2) filled with different fluids and each closed by a pump (3) provided with a valve, the two valves being actuated by a single pusher (5). The pusher (5) has a chamber into which open the outlets of the two valves. This chamber is divided by a wall (7) so as to form two separate chambers (6', 6') into which open respectively the outputs of the two valves. The wall (7) has two outlet openings (8', 8') respectively connected to the separate chambers (6', 6'). These outlet openings (8', 8') open into cavities (10', 10') of a dispensing nose (11) of elastically deformable material. The dispensing nose (11) has an outlet slot (12) sealingly closed by two lips (13) arranged to spread under the pressure of the mixed fluid arriving respectively in the cavities (10', 10') during depression of the pusher (5). The dispensing nose (11) comprises an intermediate partition (14) separating the cavities (10', 10'). This intermediate partition (14) is made of a single piece with the dispensing nose (11).
