A controller for detecting an unwanted object in an agricultural machine. The agricultural machine includes a pair of rollers for receiving crop material therebetween. The pair of rollers define a variable roller opening therebetween. The controller is configured to: receive a roller-opening-value that is representative of the size of the roller opening; determine a strength-value based on the roller-opening-value and a roller-speed-value, wherein the roller-speed-value is representative of the rate of change of the roller-opening-value, with respect to time; compare the strength-value with a threshold-value; and if the strength-value exceeds the threshold-value, then provide an output signal that is indicative of an unwanted object being detected.

Controller for an agricultural machine

An unloading apparatus is arranged to direct material to a container. A controller determines a build-up speed of the material in the container; in accordance with the determined build-up speed, determine a rate of change to be applied when setting an attribute of at least one of the unloading apparatus and container; and set an attribute of at least one of the unloading apparatus and container in accordance with the determined rate of change in order to direct the material from the unloading apparatus to the container.

Unloading system for agricultural harvesting machines

An agricultural harvesting machine, equipped with a movable unloading apparatus to transport crop material to a container driven in the vicinity, so that the container, seen from the harvester, has a near upper border and a remote upper border, and wherein a 3D camera is provided on the harvester for capturing images in which at least the near border can be seen, to direct the unloading apparatus based on these images. The camera is rotatable mounted around a substantially horizontal axis. The angle of rotation of the rotatable camera can be arranged such that the near border always remains in the field of view of the camera. The unloading apparatus can be controlled such that the processed crop material is deposited in the container at a predetermined distance from the near border.

A controller for an unloading system. The unloading system includes an unloading vehicle having an unloading apparatus and a collection vehicle having a container. The unloading apparatus is configured to direct material to the container driven in the vicinity of the unloading vehicle. The controller is configured to receive a user input signal representative of user operation of a vehicle input device associated with driving the unloading vehicle or the collection vehicle and set an attribute of the unloading system in accordance with the user input signal in order to direct the material from the unloading apparatus to the container.

A controller for an unloading system. The unloading system comprises an unloading vehicle having an unloading apparatus and a collection vehicle having a container. The unloading apparatus is configured to direct material to the container driven in the vicinity of the unloading vehicle. The controller is configured to: receive image data representative of at least a portion of the container; receive a path information signal representative of a path that is to be followed by the unloading vehicle or the collection vehicle; and set an attribute of the unloading apparatus, the unloading vehicle, or the collection vehicle in accordance with the image data and the path information signal in order to direct the material from the unloading apparatus to the container.

Unloading systems

A pick-up, an agricultural implement, and a method for ejecting a foreign object by the crop pick-up and the agricultural implement are provided. The agricultural implement comprises a crop inlet to collect picked-up crop. The crop pick-up comprises a reel with pick-up fingers to pick up the crop from the field, an auger to transport the picked-up crop to the crop inlet of the agricultural implement, and a driver. The driver rotates the reel and the auger in a pick-up direction and a collection direction for picking up and transporting the crop, and a retrieval direction for retrieving already collected crop when a foreign object is detected in the collected crop. The crop pick-up further comprises an ejector to actively rotate the reel in an ejection direction for ejecting the retrieved crop.

A vibration sensor is mounted on the central shaft, such that it senses vibrations induced into the feed roll assembly in a direction transverse to the rotational axis of the feed roll.

A forage harvester having a header for harvesting crop from a field, a chopper for comminuting the crop harvested by the header, a spout from which the chopped crop is discharged and a rotary blower () for propelling the chopped crop from the chopper along an intake chute () leading to the spout. A deflector plate () is provided at the entrance of the blower. The deflector plate () is pivotable between a first position in which the crop is guided to flow in a substantially tangential direction relative to the trajectory of the blades () of the blower () and a second position in which the crop is deflected radially inwards from the tangential direction to impact the blades () of the blower () at a point along their length.

A discharge spout is connecting a first end to a discharge tube in a forage harvester to discharge the processed crop from a mouth at a second end into a vehicle driven in use alongside the harvester. The spout has an inspection opening near its first end, a door covering and closing off the inspection opening, and at least one wear plate separate from the door and secured to the inner surface of the door.

The apparatus is a spring system on forage harvester feedrolls. The upper forward feedroll has two concentric springs on each side. The outer spring is operative over the whole range of displacement. The inner spring exerts tensioning force on the feedroll only as of a certain minimal lifting of the feedroll. The rear upper feedroll has one spring on each side. This one spring has a substantially smaller spring force than the forward spring package. The feedroll supporting linkages are arranged with complementary and cooperating cam surfaces which are disposed so that, when the forward feedroll is lifted above a predetermined minimum value, the rearward feedroll is also lifted thereby (to a lesser degree) without even any lifting force from the crop material passing therebelow.
