Apparatus for removing frozen electrolyte bath from surface portions of an electrode body, the apparatus having crust breakers adapted to penetrate and fracture the crust which breaks into discrete pieces and which separates from the body. The crust breakers are attached to a frame through a linkage system which is adapted to move the breakers along a line of travel substantially adjacent to the salt encrusted surfaces of the body. With application of sufficient power to the crust breakers to penetrate and fracture the crust, substantially all of the crust is removed from the electrode body with minimal generation of dust and noise.

Frozen electrolyte bath removal apparatus

A safety hook device used to couple with objects to be transported overhead is disclosed having a coupling rod at least partially enclosed within a rotatable housing when coupled with the object so that the danger of involuntary uncoupling is lessened. This invention is also adapted to provide for automatic coupling and/or uncoupling.

Safety hook device

A structure for switching electrical current, the structure comprising a switch having two pairs of terminals and two modes of operation. The structure, in addition, includes a first electrically conductive means for connecting the terminals of one pair together, and, a second electrically conductive means for connecting the terminals of the other pair together. Means are included for disconnecting the terminals of the above pairs, and a third electrically conductive means is provided for connecting one of the terminals of one pair to one of the terminals of the other pair.
