A mobile medical imaging robot is disclosed. The robot comprises a medical imaging device, and a vehicle configured to carry the medical imaging device. The vehicle is motorized so as to move on a surface, such the floor of an examination room. The robot further comprises a cable designed to link said vehicle to a wall of a room, such as a medical examination room. In at least one non-limiting embodiment, motorized robot movements along the surface are controlled manually by a user.

Mobile medical imaging robot

A mobile platform and a mobile base designed to support a device such as an X-ray machine is provided. The platform or base is configured to move using a motor-driven system associated with a navigation system. The navigation system enables the platform or base and any device supported by the platform or base (if any) to be moved automatically and with precision from one position to another within any defined space such as an examination, hybrid or operation room. An X-ray machine configured for mounting on the base is also provided. The X-ray machine is configured to move about the patient while at the same time keeping the region to be subjected to radiography within an X-ray beam.

A mobile base designed to receive an X-ray machine is provided. An X-ray machine capable of being mounted on the mobile base is also provided. The X-ray machine of the invention is configured to move using a motor-driven system associated with a navigation system. The navigation system of the invention enables the X-ray machine to be moved automatically and with precision from one position to another within an examination, hybrid or operation room. The X-ray machine is also configured for the automatic positioning of the moving parts around the patient, while at the same time keeping the region to be subjected to radiography within an X-ray beam.

A system and method to perform image acquisition of a subject is provided. The system includes a mobile device to move an imaging system across a floor, and a brake system that restrains movement of the mobile device. A controller includes a memory having program instructions to instruct a processor to perform the steps of: instructing movement of the mobile device in support of the imaging system to a first position for image acquisition of the subject; receiving feedback that the mobile device is located at the first position; and applying a brake force to restrain movement of the mobile device. The step of applying the brake force includes generating a vacuum in restraint of movement of the mobile device with respect to the floor.

System and method to automatically assist mobile image acquisition

A method of and system to perform image acquisition of a subject supported from a floor is provided. The system includes an imaging system and a table system having a tabletop in support of the subject from the floor. The table system also includes a mobile device having a drive to automatically transport the table system across the floor, identify a current position and to calculate a path relative to a reference to a pre-programmed target position for image acquisition.

An X-ray apparatus is provided. The X-ray apparatus comprises: an X-ray tube; an X-ray detector disposed opposite the X-ray tube in a direction of the emission of X-rays; and a set of luminous devices controlled by a central unit controlling the operation of the apparatus so as to emit luminous radiations as a function of the mode of operation of the apparatus.

A multiplane medical imaging system is provided. The multiplane medical imaging system comprises a first X-ray machine and a second X-ray machine, each X-ray machine comprising an X-ray tube and an X-ray detector, wherein the first and second X-ray machines each comprise respective mobile automatic devices on which the respective X-ray tubes and the respective X-ray detectors are mounted in order to control the movement of the first and second X-ray machines.

The X-ray machine comprises an X-ray tube; an X-ray detector placed opposite the X-ray tube in a direction of emission of X-rays; and a mobile device on which the X-ray tube and the X-ray detector are mounted, the mobile device comprising a motor capable of causing the automatic movement of the X-ray machine, and an impact-sensing system coupled to the motor in order to control the movement of the mobile device in the event of an impact applied to the X-ray apparatus.
