A cable harness adjustable to snugly secure axially aligned cables, wires, lines, cords, hoses, tubes and the like, having a wide range of bundle sizes, comprising a loop shaped flexible strap having a ratchet lock at one end thereof and a plurality of ratchet flaps spaced at intervals along its length, the ratchet lock having a channel therethrough orientated in the longitudinal direction of the flexible strap, and adapted to receive the free end of the flexible strap and to permit the passage of the strap therethrough, the channel also having a plurality of teeth orientated to engage the ratchet flaps on the flexible strap and to thereby prevent the backwards withdrawal of the strap from the channel while permitting its further insertion, the ratchet lock has a lateral opening feature which enables the cable harness once closed to be opened by removing the flexible strap laterally from the ratchet lock.

A snap-locking wire bundle clamp for securing axially aligned wires, lines and cords comprising a flexible band in the configuration of an open loop having a resilient cylindrical projection on one of its ends and a complementary resilient cylindrical hole on its opposite end. The cylindrical projection and hole are aligned and adapted on the flexible band so that a pinching action imposed on the band ends will move them into engagement, locking the device. In an adjustable embodiment of the invention the ends of the flexible band overlap and the cylindrical projection and multiple cylindrical holes are disposed on opposite confronting surfaces of the overlapping band ends. With this adjustable wire bundle clamp, wire bundles of different sizes may be snugly secured by a pinching action deployed on the band ends to drive the cylindrical projection into engagement with a cylindrical hole which defines with the projection an operative band length corresponding to an enclosure of the approximate size of the wire bundle to be secured.

A plastic wing nut with an internal thread, a mold therefor and a method of molding such a wing nut in which the wing nut is molded so as to have only a single internal thread thereby greatly simplifying the molding process is disclosed.

A deformable plastic self-locking fastener is disclosed comprising an upper head portion having an internal passage therethrough with a plurality of serrations formed on a portion of the surface of the internal passage. Tie strips are also integrally appended to the lower surface of the upper head portion and enclose at least a part of the serrations on the upper head. The tie strips have a predetermined taper or score line to permit the ties to collapse during operation. A lower member, preferably tubular in form, has an internal passage in axial alignment with the internal passage in the upper head portion and is connected to the upper head portion by the tie strips. Serrations, complementary to, and in axial alignment with the serrations in the upper head portion, are formed on the exterior of the lower member so that when a screw is inserted into the fastener and advanced therein, the lower member is drawn towards said upper head portion by the collapsing and folding of the tie strips with the fastener self-locking by the two groups of serrations interlocking.
