The invention refers to novel 2,3-benzodiazepine derivatives of formula (I) and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same as the active ingredient. The novel compounds antipasmodic, muscle relaxant and neuroprotective activities. In formula I; X represents a hydrogen atom, a chloro atom or a methoxy group; Y stands for a hydrogen atom or a halo atom; Z means a methyl group or a chloro atom; R is a Calkyl group or a group of the formula &#x2014;NRR, wherein Rand Rrepresent, independently, a hydrogen atom, a Calkyl group, a Calkoxy group or a Ccycloalkyl group.

The invention relates to substituted alkylaminopyridazinone derivatives of the general Formula (I), (wherein Ris hydrogen or alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms; one of X and Y stands for hydrogen or halogen and the other represents a group of the general Formula (II), Ris hydrogen or alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms; n is 1, 2 or 3; Rstands for hydrogen, alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms or aryl-(Calkyl); Z stands for oxygen; or Rand Z together with the groups placed between them form a piperazine ring; and Rstands for hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl or alkoxy having 1-4 carbon atoms) and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. The invention compounds are useful in the treatment of anxiolytic conditions and cognitive disorders.
