Systems and methods are provided for receiving, from an access point, attributes of an Internet of Things (IoT) device connected to the access point, determining a stored device, in a database of a server, sharing a subset of the attributes of the IoT device, and generating a code bundle based on the subset of the shared attributes between the stored device and the IoT device.

Customized code bundle to enable secure communication from internet of things devices at wireless networks

Examples described herein relate to configuration of access points including Internet-of-Things (IoT) radio. An access point identifier list is received from a network administration node in a network. Each access point identifier in the access point identifier list is uniquely associated with an access point, which includes an IoT radio. A first rules list is received from the network administration node. Each rule in the first rules list indicates a constraint and access point configuration values. An objective function is used to identify access point identifiers satisfying one or more of the constraints in the rules. The access points associated with the identified access point identifiers are configured with the access point configuration values as indicated in the rules.

Example implementations relate to an access point (AP) that can via up from power save mode via a including Bluetooth low energy (BLE) system-on-chip (SoC) within the AP. The AP can include a power source, a power reset logic component in communication with the power source, a BLE SoC, a processor, and a non-transitory memory resource instructions executable by the processor that signals the AP is in a power save mode, receives an indication, via the BLE SoC, to wake up the AP, and wake up, via the BLE SoC, the AP in response to receiving the indication.

In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided a solution for managing a USB connection between a USB device and a host device. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a USB management server receives, from a USB management client at a host device, USB ID information for identifying a USB device that is plugged into the host device. Whether the USB ID information is valid is determined based on an authentication policy for authenticating the USB device. If the USB ID information is valid, the USB management client is instructed to permit a connection between the USB device and the host device. Accordingly, the connection may be managed by the USB management server. Embodiments of the present disclosure present an effective way for managing USB connections in a centralized way, which provides various flexible authentication policies and requires less manual operations.

Examples described herein provide network enabled control of a security device. Examples include determining that a client device is connected to a network, receiving a request from the client device to instruct a security device to perform an action, wherein the request comprises a key, authenticating the key received from the request, and based on the determination that the client device is authorized to connect to the network, and based on the authentication of the key, sending, by a network device, a signal to instruct the security device to perform the action.

Architectures and techniques for hybrid network communications. Data is received from a remote end device via a first wireless interface and according to a first communications protocol. Data is received from a remote client device via a second wireless interface and according to a second communications protocol. At least a portion of the data from the remote end device is translated to a data format according to a first network protocol. Example method includes: receiving, by an access point in a wireless local area network (WLAN), a plurality of wireless interference signals from an interfering device; deriving, by the access point, a fast Fourier transformation (FFT) pattern from the plurality of wireless interference signals received from the interfering device; transmitting, by the access point, the FFT pattern to a centralized repository that is remote to the access point; receiving, by the access point, a classifier from the centralized repository; and classifying, by the access point, the interfering device into a specific device type using the classifier received from the centralized repository based on the FFT pattern.

Examples described herein include receiving from a first remote access device a first file comprising an attribute profile of a first Bluetooth low energy device. In some examples, the attribute profile may include a service and a characteristic associated with the service. Examples also include storing the first file in a manner associated with the first Bluetooth low energy device, providing a service that allows for a client device to perform a number of operations on the characteristic in the attribute profile, receiving a requested operation out of the number of operations, and transmitting the requested operation to the first remote access device. The client device may be remote from the first Bluetooth low energy device.

A technique for providing per station control of multiple stations in a wireless network across multiple access points. A look-up table that assigns a station connected to the access point and at least one communication parameter to each of a plurality of persistent, uniquely-assigned BSSIDs (Basic Service Set Identifiers) is stored. An access point responds to messages addressed one of the plurality of persistent, uniquely-assigned BSSIDs and ignores messages addressed to other BSSIDs. Persistence of the BSSID allows the controller to maintain individual control over each station after moving to a second access point of the plurality of access points. A frame comprising the plurality of BSSIDs corresponding to each connected station aggregated into the frame is generated. The frame is transmitted to the plurality of stations. Responsive to a station of the plurality of stations being handed-off to a different access point, a uniquely-assigned BSSID corresponding to the station is deleted from the look-up table.

Aggregated beacons for per station control of multiple stations across multiple access points in a wireless communication network

AP's associated with a communication network and any wireless devices desiring contact, operated according to a protocol in which each wireless device selects AP's with which to communicate. A system coordinator causes the AP's to operate so as to guide each wireless device to an AP selected by the system coordinator. This has the effect that, notwithstanding that the protocol involves having the wireless device make the selection of AP, functionally, the AP's make the selection for it. In a 1st technique, multiple AP's share an identifier, with the system coordinator directing one particular AP to respond to the wireless device, thus appearing to wireless devices as a 'personal cell'. In a 2nd technique, AP's each maintain identifiers substantially unique to each wireless device, with the system coordinator directing only one particular AP to maintain any particular wireless device's identifier, thus appearing to wireless devices as a 'personal AP'.

Seamless mobility in wireless networks

Uplink medium access control on per-wireless device level for a specific user. An access point sends a beacon frame to a wireless device. The beacon frame includes a BSSID that is unique to the wireless device. The beacon frame also includes embedded uplink configurations specifying uplink medium access for the wireless device. In one embodiment, a controller recognizes a device or user associated with the device, and sends corresponding uplink configurations for embedding in a subsequent beacon frame.

A control element identifies the possibility that a station will transfer to a destination AP, and prepares that destination for a handoff. The control element repurposes messages from the station which indicate a possible near-term handoff, to prepare access points to receive that handoff. The control element treats a neighbor list request as a trigger to select which AP's to identify, to restrict the neighbor list to selected AP's, and to prepare each selected AP for a handoff. In selecting a destination AP, the control element also selects a particular set of related features for the combination of that AP and BSS. When an AP receives a repurposed message, it informs the control element, which selects destination AP's for transfer. The control element treats the repurposed message like a probe request. The control element prepares more than one AP for transfer if handoff is possible to more than one AP.

Repurposing protocol messages to facilitate handoff

A client access point joins a wireless network over a wireless connection in order to allow stations access to the wireless network. To join, the client access point (having a wireless connection to a mesh network) receives a beacon frame with unique identifiers of authorized client access points from a host access point (having a wired connection to the mesh network). Responsive to a unique identifier of the beacon frame matching the unique identifier of the client access point, a connection request for a connection is sent. A connection response confirming configuration of the client access point with the host access point in accordance is received.
