A method and system are presented for determining properties of an electromagnetic waveform. The method comprises: providing measured parametric EM field data indicative of measured vector components of electric and magnetic fields of an EM waveform measured in at least one instance of time: providing reference data indicative of a plurality of reference data sets, each data set comprising: a reference steering vector parameters indicative of a certain respective direction of arrival (DO A), and a corresponding parametric EM field reference data including reference vector components of an electric and magnetic field pertaining to a wavefront propagating with the DO A of the corresponding reference steering vector parameters; determining a matching score between the measured parametric EM field data and the parametric EM field reference data of one or more of the reference data sets; and in case the matching score of a certain reference data set complies with a certain threshold condition, determining that said measured parametric EM field data corresponds to said EM waveform having a single EM wavefront thereby enabling to discriminate between measured EM waveforms having a single wavefront and measured EM waveforms having multiple wavefronts.

System and method for characterizing properties of EM signals

An electromagnetic (EM) probe for monitoring at least one biological tissue. The EM probe comprises a spiral antenna conductor (not shown) and an EM radiation absorbing layer () mounted along the antenna. The EM radiation absorbing layer has a plurality of substantially concentric frame shaped regions (A-C) corresponding to portions of said spiral antenna having equal surface of antenna conductor, any of said plurality of concentric frame shaped regions has an EM radiation absorption coefficient different than any other of said neighboring concentric frame shaped regions.

Method, system and apparatus for using electromagnetic radiation for monitoring a tissue of a user

An electromagnetic (EM) probe for monitoring one or more biological tissues. The EM probe comprises a cup shaped cavity having an opening and an interior volume, a circumferential flange formed substantially around the cup shaped cavity, in proximity to the opening, at least one layer of a material, for absorbing electromagnetic radiation, applied over at least one of a portion of the circumferential flange and a portion of the outer surface of the cup shaped cavity, and at least one EM radiation element which performs at least one of emitting and capturing EM radiation via the interior volume.

Method of producing an electromagnetic (EM) probe

The present invention relates to an antenna device including an integrated matching circuit being implemented by at least one controllable capacitor for a number of frequencies. The at least one controllable resonating capacitor determines a resonance frequency of the antenna device. An object of the invention is to provide a compact antenna device which can obtain a desired matching characteristic without using a separate matching circuit which limits miniaturization of the antenna system as a whole and forms a factor of limiting the efficiency of the antenna and raising cost when the antenna is incorporated into the terminal.

A direction-finding antenna system is described. The direction-finding antenna system comprises a plurality of tapered dipole antenna elements arranged in circular array around a central axis. Each tapered dipole antenna element comprises a pair of rectangular elongated antenna elements mounted radially from said central axis and configured to be curved such that a distance between said pair of rectangular elongated antenna elements is larger at periphery of the system with respect to center thereof.

The present invention relates to an antenna system including at least two antenna modules operable for transmitting and/or receiving radiation in certain common frequency band. The at least two antenna modules are collinearly arranged along a common axis so as to provide low gain along the axis, and are spaced apart from one another along this axis by a distance of at least a few nominal wavelengths of the common frequency band. Each two locally adjacent antenna modules of the at least two antenna modules operate with substantially mutually orthogonal polarizations of radiation, thereby suppressing electromagnetic coupling between the antenna modules in the common frequency band.

There is provided an apparatus, including: an arrangement that includes at least one pair of oppositely directed, spaced apart, radiating-capable elements along a common axis, each of said elements being hollow with internal space, and being slotted throughout its entire extent; a first circuitry coupled to said arrangement and being configured to sense an electric field projection along said axis and to convey it to a first feeding terminal; and a second circuitry coupled to at least one slot of said arrangement configured to sense a magnetic field's projection along said axis and to convey it to a first feeding terminal. The apparatus being further configured to resolve a polarization vector of incoming wavefront propagating in an orthogonal direction to said common axis based on at least said sensed electric field projection and said magnetic field projection.
