A packaged catheter includes a cover attachable to a container, an intermittent urinary catheter, and a urine collection bag. The container has a closed bottom and an opening formed in a proximal end of the container and communicating with a container cavity. The intermittent urinary catheter has a proximal portion insertable into a bladder and a handle portion connected to the proximal portion; and a urine collection bag connected to the handle portion of the intermittent urinary catheter. The handle portion of the intermittent urinary catheter is inserted into the opening formed in the proximal end of the container to provide a sealing structure between the handle portion and the opening in the container.

Packaged catheter

The present invention provides a urinary catheter assembly which comprises at least one urinary catheter for collecting urine from a body opening and a collecting bag connected to the catheter, in a way that a urinary flow can be established in a flow path from the catheter into the bag. The assembly further comprises a catheter package with a container and a cover. The container forms an accommodation for an insertable part of the catheter, and the cover forms a cavity for the collecting bag. The cover is releasably fixed to the container. Furthermore, the package forms an overlap in which the cavity partly covers the accommodation.
