A garage door decorative cover assembly for use over the exterior surface of a garage door made of a plurality of door panels includes at least one flexible panel and, for each flexible panel, a first connector and at least one resilient second connector. Each flexible panel has a first end, a second end, a front surface and a back surface. According to one embodiment and with respect to each flexible panel, the first connector attaches the first end of the flexible panel to a surface of the garage door, and the resilient second connector couples the second end of the flexible panel to a surface of the garage door other than the exterior surface such that the flexible panel is held taut when the garage door is in both open and closed positions. According to another embodiment, and with respect to each flexible panel, the first connector means attaches the first end of the flexible panel to a surface of the garage door other than the exterior surface, and the resilient second connector couples the second end of the flexible panel to a surface of the garage such that the flexible panel is held taut when the garage door is in both open and closed positions. The flexible panels are provided with fanciful holiday, seasonal, or other celebratory indicia which preferably together form a composite illustration.

Garage door assembly

A garage door decorative cover assembly for use on an exterior surface of a garage door made of a plurality of door panels permitted to rotate relative to each other when the garage door moves from a closed position to an open position includes at least one flexible panel and, for each flexible panel, a first fixing element and at least one resilient second fixing element. Each flexible panel has a first end, a second end, a front surface and a back surface. With respect to each flexible panel, the first fixing element attaches the first end of the flexible panel to the exterior surface of the garage door, and the resilient second fixing element couples the second end of the flexible panel to the exterior surface of the garage door such that the flexible panel is held taut when the garage door is in both open and closed positions. Decorative structures comprising a flexible sheet-like member simulate universal conceptions of the appearance of floating and fixed ghosts. A structure for simulating a universal conception of the appearance of a floating ghost comprises a flexible sheet-like member draped over a support member, such as a balloon, to form a composite structure. The composite structure is suspended from a support structure to simulate the appearance of a floating ghost. A decorative structure for simulating a universal conception of a fixed ghost comprises a support bag member having a filling therein, and a flexible sheet-like member placed over the support bag member and having facial indicia simulating an appearance of a face of a ghost thereon. The free ends of the sheet-like member are secured to the ground at spaced apart positions, to provide a generally inverted conical shape, so that the resultant structure can flutter when subjected to wind or the like. The support bag member may be fixed to the ground, for example, by means of pegs. Another embodiment comprises a pair of balloons tied together to form a reduced size area therebetween. A flexible sheet-like covering member is mounted over the tied-together balloons and is pinched or gathered at the reduced size area between the balloons, by a flexible tie, to simulate a head and body of a ghost-like object.

The garage door cover assembly includes a plurality of horizontal cover panels and, for each cover panel, fixing members to couple the panel to a garage door panel. The cover panels are provided with fanciful holiday, seasonal, or other celebratory indicia. The indicia on the panels together form a composite illustration. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cover panels are made from a flexible, waterproof polyethylene.

A garage door decorative cover assembly for use on an exterior surface of a garage door made of a plurality of door panels permitted to rotate relative to each other when the garage door moves from a closed position to an open position includes at least one flexible cover panel, a fixing component, and a weighted holding mechanism. The flexible cover panel has a first end, a second end, a front surface and a back surface. The fixing component fixedly attaches the first end of the cover panel to the surface of the garage door, and the weighted holding mechanism couples the second end of the cover panel to the surface of the garage door such that the cover panel is coupled to the garage door is in both open and closed positions. The weight of the holding mechanism maintains the cover panel in a taut state whether the garage door is open or closed. The cover panel is provided with fanciful holiday, seasonal, or other celebratory indicia. According to another embodiment of the invention, the cover panel is multi-component, and the indicia on the several component panels, in side-by-side display on the garage door, together form a composite illustration.

Garage door decorative cover assembly

A decorative Christmas tree ornament assembly includes a plastic sleeve with an open top end and an opposed bottom end, at least one closure apparatus, and a hanging apparatus. Where the bottom end of the plastic sleeve is open, it is bunched closed with a closure apparatus such as a twist-tie. A filling material, such as presents and/or crumpled newspaper, batting, tissue paper or leaves, is inserted into the sleeve through the open top end until the sleeve takes on a substantially rounded shape. The top end is bunched closed with another closure apparatus in a fashion similar to the bottom end. The assembled ornament is hung with the hanging apparatus from a tree, such as an evergreen Christmas tree. The top end closure apparatus and the hanging apparatus can be a single long twist-tie, typically eighteen inches long. Methods of forming the outdoor Christmas tree ornament are also described.

Christman tree ornament assemblies

Decorative combination structures are disclosed comprising a combination of flexible bag members which together simulate a conception of the appearance of a Santa. The combination structure comprises two flexible bags arranged for receiving filling material therein and for assuming a substantially rounded shape when so filled, with one of the bag assemblies being provided with facial indicia of a Santa and arranged at the top of the stack and other bag assembly having indicia simulating a buckled belt and a pair of mittened hands extending from sleeves with furry cuffs. An additional elongate flexible bag is provided to simulate a tasseled stocking cap and a flexible sheet is provided in the form of a beard. In addition, a plurality of closure or bunching means for the flexible bags are provided, as are a plurality of fastener means for fastening the bags together and to the ground or platform.

Santa claus-like decorative object

A lamp socket system for an illuminated decorative figure includes a lamp socket with an integral male electrical plug and a flange for mounting the socket in a hole in the decorative figure. The decorative figure is provided with a well surrounding a hole in which the socket is mounted. The well is large enough to accommodate the female end connector of an extension cord and may be provided with an oblong radially extending portion to accommodate an oblong female end connector. When the socket is installed in the hole in the figure and an extension cord is connected to the integral male plug on the socket, the electrical connection between the extension cord and the socket is sheltered by the well. The well protects the electrical connection from rain, snow, and other environmental elements. It also supports the weight of the female end connector of the extension cord so that the socket is not pulled out of the figure. Since the socket is installed at the interior end of the well, it does not protrude from the outer surface of the figure. The socket is thereby protected from damage during shipping and storage of the decorative figure. The decorative figures can be manufactured using conventional molding techniques to provide the well for receiving the socket. The socket can be insert molded with inserted conductive prongs, or can be assembled from several pieces. A fuse may be provided in the socket and the conductive prongs may be partially shrouded.

Recessed lamp socket system for illuminated decorative figures

A spider-like decorative structure comprising a main bag member having a filling therein, and made of flexible material. A plurality of elongated bag-like tubular members, each having a filling material therein, are arranged adjacent the main bag member at spaced apart locations around the periphery of the main bag member so as to extend from the main bag member. The main bag member simulates the appearance of a body portion of the spider-like decorative object, and the leg members simulate the appearance of legs of the spider-like decorative object. The legs may be connected to the main bag member at the portions which are adjacent the main bag member, and the free ends of the legs are preferably connected to the ground or other support structure for the spider-like decorative object. A support member is provided for raising an articulated intermediate portion of each of the leg members to further simulate the appearance of bent legs of a spider-like decorative object.

Spider-like decorative object

Decorative combination structure comprising a combination of a flexible bag member and a flexible sheet which together simulate a fanciful conception of the appearance of a giant bat. The flexible bag is arranged for receiving a plurality of light-weight and preferably inflatable filler elements and for assuming a substantially tubular shape with rounded ends when so filled so as to simulate a bat body, and the bag member is provided with facial indicia of a bat. The flexible sheet is shaped to simulate bat wings and is attached to the bag. A plurality of closure or bunching means for the flexible bag are provided to cause ear-like protrusions at be formed at the initially open end of the bag member. A plurality of fastener means are provided for fastening the bag and the wing-like sheet together.
