A halogen-free fire-retardant thermoplastic composition composed of: 50% to 70% by weight of fire-retardant fillers, 0.1% to 45% by weight of a copolymer of ethylene and of an ethylenic monomer bearing a polar function, 10% to 25% by weight of a non-functionalized very low density polyethylene (VLDPE), optionally, up to 10% of additives, and 0.1% to 10% by weight of a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), characterized in that the density of the very low density polyethylene (VLDPE) is between 0.85 and 0.91, in that the density of the linear low density polyethylene is greater than 0.91 and in that the linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) is grafted with maleic anhydride grafts present on the main chain. Also, a cable, tube, pipe or the like, a layer of which is formed with said composition.

An encapsulant of a photovoltaic module, intended for coating a photovoltaic cell, having a composition which does not include any cross-linking agent and including: an ethylene&#x2014;alkyl acrylate copolymer, the copolymer making up 70% to 96% of the weight of the composition; a silane, making up 0.1% to 2% of the weight of the composition; wherein the composition also includes a terpolymer of ethylene&#x2014;acrylic ester&#x2014;maleic anhydride or glycidyl methacrylate, the terpolymer making up 2% to 29.9% of the weight of the composition. Also relates to the use of such an encapsulant in a photovoltaic module as well as to a photovoltaic module including such an encapsulant.

Encapsulant of a photovoltaic module

An encapsulant of a photovoltaic module, intended for coating a photovoltaic cell (), including: a copolymer of ethylene-alkyl acrylate, the melt flow index (MFI) of the copolymer being 1 g/10 min to 40 g/10 min; and a silane making up 0.1% to 0.5% of the weight of the composition; wherein the encapsulant also includes a cross-linking agent making up 0.1% to 0.5% of the weight of the composition and wherein the copolymer makes up at least 99% of the weight of the composition. Also, a use of such an encapsulant in a photovoltaic module as well as to a photovoltaic module including such an encapsulant.
