A wrappable textile sleeve with closure system and method of construction is provided. The sleeve has a wall of interlaced yarn with opposite edges extending in a lengthwise direction along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends. The opposite edges are wrappable into overlapping relation with one another to form a tubular cavity. The wall has a first set of closed loops positioned adjacent one of the opposite edges and a second set of closed loops positioned adjacent the other of the opposite edges. At least one flexible lace is disposed through the closed loops in a zig-zag pattern, thereby extending back-and-forth between the first set of loops and the second set of loops. The flexible lace is slidable through the plurality of loops to facilitate drawing and maintaining the opposite edges in overlapping relation with one another.

Wrappable textile sleeve having supplemental lace closure and method of construction thereof

A braided EMI protective sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve has a braided, tubular wall extending lengthwise along a central longitudinal axis between open opposite ends. The wall includes a plurality of filament bundles, with each filament bundle including a plurality of filaments twisted with one another to form a plurality of loops, wherein a plurality of the loops of each filament bundle are interlinked with a plurality of the loops of an adjacent filament bundle. At least some of the filament bundles include a conductive wire filament to provide the sleeve with an EMI protective shielding capacity.

Braided electromagnetic interference protective sleeve and method of construction thereof

A coaxial cable and method of construction thereof are provided. The coaxial cable includes an elongate central conductive member; a dielectric insulative layer encasing the central conductive member; an outer protective sheath, and a braided EMI shield layer including hybrid yarn sandwiched between the dielectric insulative layer and the outer protective sheath. The hybrid yarn includes an elongate nonconductive filament and an elongate continuous conductive wire filament. The wire filament is interlaced in electrical communication with itself or other wire filaments along a length of the EMI shield layer to provide protection to the central conductive member against at least one of EMI, RFI or ESD. The method includes providing a central conductive member; forming a dielectric insulative layer surrounding the central conductive member; braiding an EMI shield layer including hybrid yarn about the insulative layer, and forming an outer protective sheath about the braided EMI shield layer.

Coaxial cable and method of construction thereof

A textile sleeve for routing and protecting a plurality of elongate members in spaced relation from one another is provided. The sleeve includes a single piece, monolithic wall of interlaced yarn extending lengthwise between opposite ends of the sleeve. The wall includes a plurality of circumferentially continuous, tubular wall sections extending lengthwise between the opposite ends, with adjacent tubular wall sections being fixed in laterally spaced relation from another by an intervening single layer section. At least some of the yarn within each tubular wall section is provided as heat-shrinkable yarn, thereby providing each tubular wall section as being heat-shrinkable from a first, diametrically enlarged assembly state to a second, diametrically constricted state about a corresponding elongate member contained therein.

Multi-cavity, shrinkable sleeve and method of construction thereof

A self-wrapping nonwoven sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a non-woven wall having a thickness extending between inner and outer sides. The wall has opposite edges extending along a length of the sleeve between opposite ends. The opposite edges are biased into a self-wrapped configuration by heat-set material of the nonwoven wall to define a tubular cavity. The non-woven wall includes first and second portions extending between the opposite edges. The first portion and second portion have respective first and second thicknesses extending between the inner and outer sides, wherein the first thickness is greater than the second thickness and wherein the first portion provides flexibility to the wall and the second portion is heat set to bias the wall into its self-wrapped configuration.

Self-curling non-woven sleeve and method of construction thereof

A high temperature resistant textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The textile sleeve has a flexible, tubular knit wall of thermoplastic yarns. The yarns are tightly knit with weft knit stitches extending along a circumferential direction about the tubular knit wall to provide a substantially smooth inner surface and a substantially smooth outer surface. The yarns are knit in a tricot stitch pattern, wherein the tricot knit stitches extend along a circumferentially direction of the sleeve wall.

High temperature resistant weft knit textile sleeve and method of construction thereof

A self-wrapping, textile sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members from electromagnetic interference and a method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve has an elongate wall constructed from interlaced yarns. At least one of the yarns is provided as heat-settable polymeric yarn that is heat-set to bias the wall into a self-wrapping configuration about a longitudinal central axis of the sleeve to bring opposite edges into overlapping relation with one another to provide a generally tubular cavity in which the elongate members are received. Further, at least one of the yarns is provided as a bi-component metallic wire having an aluminum core and an outer layer of copper.
