Systems and methods for a leak drainage system are herein described. The leak drainage system may be implemented in an electric motor comprising a first region cooled by a liquid, a seal separating the first region from a second region, wherein the liquid does not enter the second region when the seal is not degraded, and a drainage system configured to drain liquid leaking through the seal from the first region into the second region, the drainage system comprising a radially projecting annular lip with a first angled wall positioned on a rotor shaft and an annular depression in a motor static housing circumferentially surrounding the radially projecting annular lip.

Drainage system for an electric motor

Methods and systems are provided for a winding reconfiguration assembly for an electric machine. The winding reconfiguration assembly includes a multi-position contactor device designed to switch stator windings in the electric machine between a first electric configuration in a first position and a second electric configuration in a second position. The winding reconfiguration assembly further includes an electromagnetic actuator configured switch the multi-position contactor device between the first position and the second position in response to a change in the polarity of a coil in the electromagnetic actuator.

Winding reconfiguration assembly and method for operation of said assembly

Methods and systems are provided for an electric motor. In one example, the electric motor may include a stator with end windings protruding axially, along a central axis of rotation of the electric motor, from a first end of the stator and a first end plate arranged at the first end of the stator. The first end plate may have an inner face with indentations configured to receive the end windings, the indentations including a thermally conductive material to interface with the end windings. In addition, the first end plate may include at least one cooling channel for flowing a coolant.

In one example, a system may include a plurality of segmented slots positioned around an inner surface of a stator, wherein each of the plurality of segmented slots comprises a first section comprising a first width and a second section comprising a second width, the second width different than the first.

Systems for electric motor

Methods and systems are provided for a power module. In one example, the power module may have a half-bridge configuration with electrical terminals arranged at opposite side of the power module, semiconductor chips arranged in a printed circuit board (PCB), a capacitor electrically coupled to the electrical terminals and arranged above and in contact with a top plate of the power module, and one or more connectors coupled to the PCB to couple the power module to external circuits. The power module may be directly cooled by flowing a coolant over the semiconductor chips.

High density power module

The present disclosure relates to a power converter configured for limiting switching overvoltage. The power converter comprises a bottom commutation cell that includes a bottom power electronic switch and a bottom compensation circuit connected to a bottom parasitic inductance. The bottom compensation circuit applies a sample of the voltage induced across the bottom parasitic inductance at turn-off of the bottom power electronic switch to the reference node of the bottom gate driver. The power converter also comprises a top commutation cell that includes top power electronic switch and a top compensation circuit connected to the bottom parasitic inductance. The top compensation circuit applies a sample of the voltage induced across the bottom parasitic emitter upon turn-off of the top power electronic switch to the reference node of the top gate driver. The top and bottom commutation cells are part of a loop, being connected at a junction of the collector of the bottom power electronic switch and the emitter of the top power electronic switch.
