An exemplary method includes a media content system providing, for display in a media content search view, a media content guide pane including a portion of media content listings from a plurality of media content listings; providing a first media content search pane including a first set of options from which a first search parameter is configured to be used by the media content system to select which media content listings are presented in the media content guide pane; and providing, for concurrent display with the media content guide pane and the first media content search pane in the media content search view, a second media content search pane including a second set of options from which a second search parameter is configured to be used by the media content system to further select which media content listings are presented in the media content guide pane.

Systems and methods for facilitating navigation of a media content guide

An exemplary method includes a media program guide system 1) providing, for display on a display screen, a media program guide user interface that includes a grid of cells representing scheduled-type media content and on-demand-type media content, and a selector window positioned relative to the grid of cells to select a cell included in the grid of cells, and 2) selectively configuring a feature of the selector window based on whether the cell selected by the selector window represents the scheduled-type media content or the on-demand-type media content. Corresponding systems and methods are also described.

Unified media program guide systems and methods

A computing device receives from a user, a request to simultaneously record two or more programs from a content server onto the computing device and initiates a streaming video session between the computing device and a video client. The computing device provides, to the video client, recording parameters for one of the programs and then receives, via the streaming video session, a video stream from the video client. The video stream includes the one of the programs from the content server based on the recording parameters that is then recorded by the computing device.
