In a device for fastening a perforated block to a metal melt container, the perforated block can be fastened by at least one clamping wedge which can be inserted transversely with respect to its through opening and which has a clamping jaw coupled thereto, wherein this clamping jaw acts on a clamping surface formed on the circumferential surface of the perforated block. The respective clamping wedge is guided in a carrier plate so as to be displaceable in its longitudinal extent or extension and transversely with respect thereto, while the clamping jaw coupled thereto can be moved in this transverse direction. Consequently, the perforated block can be fastened with precise positioning in the carrier plate in a simple manner.

In a closure plate for a slide closure on the spout of a container containing molten metal, two outer longitudinal sides, a flow-through opening disposed on a central longitudinal axis of the closure plate and a closing surface passing from the latter are provided. There are formed on each of these two outer longitudinal sides, at least two shoulder surfaces serving as clamping surfaces or as centring surfaces of the closure plate which are at an angle to the longitudinal axis and tapering inward. At least on the shoulder surfaces on the side of the closing surface, adjoining outer sides are provided which are respectively at a smaller angle to the longitudinal axis than those of the shoulder surfaces.

Slide closure for a vessel containing molten metal includes a slide housing and a slide unit that can be displaced longitudinally towards the slide housing, at least one refractory closure plate can respectively be inserted into the slide housing. The closure plates can be pressed against one another by the slide unit being braced against the slide housing. The closure plates can respectively be fixed or centered therein by a placement device having a displaceable positioning element. These placement devices are respectively designed such that upon bracing the slide unit against the slide housing, placing of the positioning element and clamping or centering of the respective closure plate is brought about therein. Therefore, despite easier operation, increased operating reliability is guaranteed because the closure plates are clamped and centered mechanically.

Pressing device for a casting pipe at the spout of a metallurgical container, wherein the pressing device is provided with spring-loaded pressing elements that can be pressed against guide surfaces of a casting pipe. The casting pipe includes a tubular part and an upper plate. The guide surfaces are arranged on the underside of the plate on both sides of the tubular part and are directed downward at an angle. They form a plate cross-section that is tapered downward. The pressing elements are each provided with a head that is convexly curved in the adjustment direction of the casting pipe and can be pressed against a guide surface of the casting pipe, which is curved in the longitudinal direction of the pressing element or in the adjustment direction. Compressive forces exerted by the pressing pins are optimally transmitted, more toward the casting pipe opening and therefore acting more evenly.

Sliding closure for a receptacle containing molten metal includes a housing frame that can be fastened to a spout of the receptacle, a first refractory base plate and a sliding unit having a refractory sliding plate that is sealingly pressed against the first base plate by spring elements and a contiguous refractory spout sleeve contained in the housing frame. The case has a second base plate juxtaposed to the first base plate and displaceable inside the housing frame at a right angle to the direction of movement of the sliding unit from an initial position in which the first base plate is in an operating position towards a final position in which the second base plate is in the operating position. It is therefore possible to replace the base plate, which wears outs quickly, by a new base plate in a rapid and convenient manner without interrupting the casting operation.

A fireproof unit for a sliding closure at the spout of a container containing metal melt, including a fireproof adapter block that can be placed on the container spout, a fireproof bottom plate connected thereto, to which bottom plate a slidable fireproof sliding plate can be connected, wherein the sliding plate allows the sliding closure to be opened or closed. In addition to the first bottom plate connected to the adapter block, a second bottom plate adjoins the adapter block. The second bottom plate can be slid in under the adapter block to replace the first bottom plate. The adapter block has a length in the direction of the second bottom plate such that the adapter block is in sliding contact with the second bottom plate at the lower sliding surface of the adapter block.

The pouring nozzle comprises an elongated, tubular part, defining a lower part of a pouring channel with a central longitudinal axis L, a plate-like part, provided with a flow-through opening between its surface opposite the tubular part and its section adjacent said tubular part. The flow-through opening defines an upper part of the pouring channel. The peripheral area between said surface and said section comprises four segments, namely two inclined bearing surfaces, opposite to each other, and two planar surface sections, arranged opposite and parallel to each other between said two distinct bearing surfaces. Each bearing surface is curved with respect to the central longitudinal axis L of the pouring channel. The curvature is therefore concave with respect to the central longitudinal axis L and in view of the opposite arrangement of the bearing surfaces the said bearing surfaces are arranged inversely to each other.

A closing plate for a sliding closure on the spout of a receptacle for molten metal, especially of a converter, includes an elongate refractory plate and a sheet metal jacket surrounding the same. The refractory plate has a sliding surface which can be braced with a sliding surface of a refractory closure plate interacting therewith or with a sliding surface of a refractory head part. The refractory plate has at least one tapering section which forms an angle with the sliding surface on at least one side delimiting the sliding surface, each tapering section being associated with a section of the refractory plate that projects beyond the sheet metal jacket. The closing plate reduces the risk of damage to the front faces of the refractory parts reduced during bracing of the parts with each other and/or during a relative adjustment of the refractory parts that are braced with each other.

A sliding closure for a vessel containing molten metal, having a slider unit guided in a slider housing, the slider unit having a push rod that can be connected to a drive rod of a linear drive via a coupling, wherein a mounting element for the linear drive is provided on the slider housing and receives the push rod and the drive rod on a coupling side. The mounting element is equipped with an automatically operating locking device for the linear drive. The slide closure operates reliably, both during the casting process and during transport thereof between the various stations of the plant.

Sliding closure for a vessel containing molten metal

Lateral seal of a casting gap formed between two casting rollers of a strip casting machine that can be placed against the casting rollers on the front face. The lateral seal includes a first moist part and a second part that is assigned to the front faces of the casting rollers. The second part forms a type of snout shape encompassing two legs which extend along the front faces of the casting rollers, join each other at the bottom, above a kissing point, so as to form a common area, and between which the first part protrudes from above. An insulating layer which separates the two parts from each other is inserted between the first and second part.

Intermediate rings () rotating with the cylinder sleeve () are arranged between the cylinder sleeve () and the axle (), which are provided with radial pressure means (), acting on the cylinder sleeve (). The above comprise a pressure chamber (), pressurized with a fluid pressure medium and acting on a pressure ring () fixed to the inner wall of the cylinder sleeve (), which may be deformed in the radial direction by inductive heating or radiated heat. The external profile of the casting roller () may be globally altered or local fine adjustments made by pressurizing the pressure chamber () with the pressure medium, or by heating the pressure ring ().
