A tool arrangement containing a tool holder and a tool having a tool head for processing workpieces and a shaft supporting the tool head, wherein the tool holder and the shaft each have a planar surface oriented transversely with respect to the axial direction of the tool holder and the shaft, the planar surfaces lying opposite one another. The tool holder and the shaft are connected non-rotatably and releasably to one another by a connecting mechanism which has a journal projecting in the axial direction and a receptacle which receives the journal.

Tool arrangement

A tool head having a main body () that is rotatable about a tool head axis (), a slide () for holding a cutting tool, the slide () being guided on the main body () in a slide guide () in a linearly moveable manner transversely to the tool head axis (), and a clamping device () for clamping the slide () on the main body (). The clamping device () has a clamping body () that is adjustable parallel to the tool head axis (), the clamping body (), in a clamping position, pressing a sliding face () of the slide () against a guiding surface () of the slide guide () with a clamping force (F) being introduced.

Tool head for a machine tool

The invention relates to a drilling tool for machine tools has a drill body, a cutting head arranged on the front face of the drill body and a shaft arranged at the end thereof, wherein the drill body has two chip flutes, which are delimited at their flanks by ribs and a first chip flute of which is spirally curved. A second chip flute is not spiraled or is spirally curved with a pitch differing from the first chip flute, preferably running in the same direction of rotation.

Drilling tool for machine tools and method for the production thereof

A device for connecting two components (), for example two tool parts. The first component () has a cylindrical locating pin () and an annular face () projecting radially beyond this locating pin (), while the second component () has a cylindrical locating bore () for receiving the locating pin () and an annular face () surrounding the locating bore (). Also provided is a clamping mechanism (), which ensures during the clamping operation that the locating pin () is drawn into the locating bore () and at the same time the annular faces () are pressed against one another.

Connector

The main body () of a machine tool () comprises a plate seat () having a plate element () arranged thereon. The plate element () has at least one plate edge (), which protrudes freely to the outside over the plate seat () and rests against a bottom support surface of the plate seat (). The plate element () can be fixed to the plate seat () by way of a bolt () extending through a bore hole in the plate element (). A first brace () for the plate element () is provided on the plate seat (), said brace having a support surface () against which the plate element () rests non-positively with a lateral plate surface. A further brace () is designed on the plate seat () for a lateral plate surface of the plate element () to rest against non-positively. In order to adjust the plate edge () of the plate element (), an adjustment device () is associated with at least one brace () and enables the brace () to be raised and lowered with respect to the bottom support surface of the plate seat (). A linear guide () is provided for said at least one brace (), said guide absorbing the forces and torque occurring during the adjustment of the plate element () and introducing them into the main body () of the machine tool ().

Machine tool having adjustable plate element

A rotating machine tool has a base with a rotating axis, at least one pocket formed in the base and at least one blade support holding a cutting plate. Two side surfaces of the blade support sit against a side support surface, respectively, the blade support side surfaces making an angle between them, and the base of the blade support sits against a base support surface of the pocket, the blade support being clamped in the pocket removably by way of a clamp element. The cutting plate protrudes over the blade support with an effective blade and over the base outward.

Machine tool with adjustable cutting insert

A junction between two components of a tool system, that rotates about an axis of rotation, includes a conical seat, on the first component, coaxial to the axis of rotation and which is defined by an annular front face. The second component carries a coupling having a conical surface complementary to the conical seat and an annular end face resting against the front face. A tie bolt axially projects beyond the free end of the coupling pin and engages, in a cavity adjacent to the seat. The junction also has tensioning elements that are actuated from the exterior for mutually bracing the components, which are radially guided in the first component, and which act upon the tie bolt and are functionally linked with joint actuating means for adjustment between detached and tensioned positions. The tensioning elements include ejection portions that can be fitted with a rotatably received rolling element.

Junction between two components of a rotating tool system

A double or multiple-edged drilling tool has a base body rotatable about a drilling axis, and at least two plate seats arranged on the front face for accommodating identical interchangeable cutting plates. The cutting plates each have a machining face, and a clearance face adjoining a principal cutting edge forming a cutting wedge, and a seat face facing away from the clearance face. A guiding land adjoins radially outwardly through each edge the machining face, the clearance face and optically the seat face. The cutting plates each have a hole for a retaining screw which is screwed into a threaded bore at the front face of the base body. The holes are aligned with their axis perpendicular to the clearance face of the associated cutting plates the threaded bores are aligned inclined to the drilling axis and inclined to each other in the base body.

Drilling tool

The tool has a tool shank (which may be hollow) ( ), whilst the machine spindle has a connecting sleeve ( ) containing a recess ( ) to accommodate the tool shank. A clamping mechanism ( ) is located in the area between the tool shank ( ) and the connecting sleeve ( ). This mechanism has at least one clamping element ( &Prime;), with radial movement, which acts as a wedge drive, providing axial clamping movement between the tool shank ( ) and connecting sleeve ( ). The clamping mechanism comprises an actuating nut ( ), which screws onto an exterior thread ( ) on the connecting sleeve ( ) and is coaxial in relation to the spindle axis. During the clamping procedure, the axial movement of the actuating nut can be converted into the radial movement of the clamping element ( &Prime;), with the help of at least one connecting link ( &Prime;).
