In a drive process of a capacitive control element, especially for a fuel injection valve, a charging of a capacitor having a stipulated voltage is transferred during a stipulated charging time, at least partially, to the control element. A deviation of energy transferred to the control element in the charging time from an experimentally determined curve of stipulated, constant energy for the entire temperature range of the control element is corrected in the subsequent drive processes incrementally by a characteristic mapping of the control element voltage and time.

Method and device for driving a capacitive control element

A device for regulating a pressure in a high pressure accumulator of a fuel injection system includes a pressure adjusting element which has a shut-off element and an electromagnetic drive actuating the shut-off element. A first regulating device is connected to the pressure adjusting element and compares a pressure value obtained in the high pressure accumulator with a given setpoint pressure value. A drive signal with a setpoint current value for the electromagnetic drive is determined as a function of the comparison. A second regulating device is connected downstream of the first regulating device for comparing a current value of a current flowing through the electromagnetic drive with the setpoint current value and readjusting the current value in response to a deviation between the current value and the setpoint current value. A method for regulating a pressure in a high pressure accumulator is also provided.

Device and method for regulating a pressure in accumulator injection

A method for determining a rotational speed for an idling control of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a diesel internal combustion engine with an idling controller, includes using a change in a so-called current rotational speed in relation to a previous rotational speed as an input variable for the idling controller. The change is composed of an expansion rotational speed of the respectively last cylinder and of a previously calculated, weighted compression rotational speed of the current cylinder. The expansion rotational speeds of the last two cylinders, as well as the difference between them and the last compression rotational speed are used for that purpose.
