A generator belt drive of an internal combustion engine, having a generator arrangement with a generator () having a belt pulley () and a belt tensioner (). The generator arrangement includes the following: &#x2014;a first tensioning lever () with a first tensioning roller (), &#x2014;a second tensioning lever () with a second tensioning roller, these tensioning rollers being arranged in front of and behind the belt pulley in a circulating direction of the belt () and applying a pretensioning force onto the belt, &#x2014;a spring () arranged between the tensioning levers and which moves the tensioning rollers towards each other, thereby generating the pretensioning force, &#x2014;and a locking arrangement (), by which the tensioning levers can be locked relative to each other in a position in which the tensioning rollers are moved away from each other, thereby reducing or canceling the pretensioning force. The generator arrangement also includes an additional locking element by which one of the tensioning levers can be locked relative to the generator that either&#x2014;is a starter generator () and the generator belt drive has a decoupler that is arranged on the generator or on a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine and decouples a rotating starter generator mass from the crankshaft with the support of the belt tensioner, &#x2014;or has no starter mode.

Starter generator belt tensioner

A generator arrangement for an auxiliary-assembly belt drive of an internal combustion engine, having a starter generator () with a belt pulley () and a belt tensioner () which includes the following:&#x2014;a first tensioning lever () with a first tensioning roller (),&#x2014;a second tensioning lever () with a second tensioning roller, these tensioning rollers being arranged in front of and behind the belt pulley in a circulating direction of the belt () and applying a pretensioning force onto the belt,&#x2014;a spring means () which is arranged between the tensioning levers and which moves the tensioning rollers towards each other, thereby generating the pretensioning force,&#x2014;and a locking arrangement (), by which the tensioning levers can be locked relative to each other in a position in which the tensioning rollers are moved away from each other, thereby reducing or canceling the pretensioning force. The generator arrangement also includes another locking means () by which one of the tensioning levers can be locked relative to the starter generator.

A clamping device () for a starter generator belt drive of an internal combustion engine. The clamping device includes a tensioner housing (), a tensioning arm () mounted movably therein, and two idlers (), one of which is mounted to the tensioning arm and the other of which is mounted to the tensioner housing () in a stationary manner. A spring component which generates the pre-load force includes two helical compression springs () connected in series, the facing spring ends () of which are separated by an intermediate piece () mounted in the tensioner housing in a sliding manner. The tensioning arm has a pin projection (), which extends through the helical compression springs running inside the tensioning arm and which is mounted in the intermediate piece in a sliding manner.

Clamping device for a belt drive

A belt tensioner for attaching to a generator of an auxiliary unit drive of an internal combustion engine, including a tensioner housing mounted on the generator having a cavity, two tensioning rollers which act with a pretensioning force on the belt in a direction of revolution upstream and downstream of the pulley of the generator, a bow spring which produces the pretensioning force accommodated in the cavity, a circular-arc-shaped tensioning lever mounted in the cavity movable in a plane of the circular arc and which is acted on by the force of the bow springs and supports one of the tensioning rollers, and a sliding bearing for the tensioning lever, which sliding bearing extends at the inlet of the cavity. The tensioning lever has a steel core with an aluminum sheath which completely encloses the part of the steel core which extends outside the cavity and inside the sliding bearing.

It includes a tensioning housing () with two belt pulleys () and a bearing support () fastened at the machine housing () of the starter generator, on which the tensioning housing is pivotally supported via a friction bearing.
