An aerial vehicle is programmed or configured to respond to reports of events or conditions within spaces of a facility. The aerial vehicle travels to a location of a reported event or condition and captures data using onboard sensors. The aerial vehicle independently determines whether the reported event or condition is occurring, or is otherwise properly addressed by resources that are available at the location, using images or other data captured by the onboard sensors. Alternatively, the aerial vehicle transmits a request for additional resources to be provided at the location, where necessary. A map of the location generated based on images or other data captured by the onboard sensors may be utilized for any purpose, such as to make one or more recommendations of products that are appropriate for use at the facility.

The present disclosure relates to sampling wireless signals received at a receiver. Subsets of the digital samples are multiplied by a Pseudo-Noise (PN) code to generate tone signals. A pattern of tone signals may indicate the presence of a repeating preamble. This may be used to locate a payload that follows the preamble. A tone signal of a payload may be decoded by multiplying a subset of the digital samples with the PN code to generate a tone signal. The tone signal may be transformed into the frequency domain to identify a frequency component having an energy level above a threshold. Using the frequency component, the payload is decoded. By structuring a packet as a series of PN-code modulated tone signals, packets received from different sources may be differentiated even when they arrive at overlapping points of time. This allows for a larger transmitting capacity in a network.

The present disclosure relates to selectively determining whether to attenuate frequencies in a received signal by converting the received signal into frequency-domain data, filtering frequency components that are likely to include an interference component, and calculating signal quality of the signal data before and after filtering.

Selective narrowband interference cancellation

A bridge device spoofs a wireless router on behalf of an audio/video recording and communication device (A/V device) to keep a connection with the router active. This prevents the router from dropping the connection with the A/V device. Without the spoofing, the A/V device would have to reestablish a connection which may delay data transmission from the A/V device. The bridge device spoofs the A/V device by sending keepalive messages, which consumes significant power. The A/V device thereby consumes less power because the A/V device does not send keepalive messages while being spoofed by the bridge device. The A/V device and the bridge device communicate over a separate, lower power communication channel, so that the bridge can, for example, tell the A/V device when to wake up and resume communication with the router.

Saving power by spoofing a device

A source of a sound is located by two or more computing devices (e.g., A/V recording and communication devices) using microphones and radio frequency communication among the computing devices. The location of the source is determined based on at least a time difference between a time that a notification from a first computing device regarding the sound arrives at a second computing device, and a time of detecting the sound at the second computing device. Additional data may be collected and/or other actions may be taken in response to locating the source of the sound.

An autonomous vehicle such as a drone or a robot is programmed or configured to respond to reports of alarm events or conditions within one or more spaces of a facility. The autonomous vehicle travels to a location of a reported alarm event or condition and captures data using onboard sensors. The autonomous vehicle independently determines whether the reported alarm event or condition is false, or is otherwise properly addressed by resources that are available at the location, using images or other data captured by the onboard sensors. Alternatively, the autonomous vehicle transmits a request for additional resources to be provided at the location, where necessary. A physical map of the location generated based on the images or other data captured by the onboard sensors may be utilized for any purpose, such as to make one or more recommendations of products that are appropriate for use at the facility.
