A measuring device includes a sensor generating a sensor signal in dependence upon a detected measured variable, a compensating facility generating a compensation signal in response to detected shocks, and an evaluating facility generating a measurement result from a difference between the sensor signal and the compensation signal. The compensating facility includes a multi-axis MEMS inertial measuring unit having an acceleration sensor alone or together with a gyroscope and generating a plurality of movement signals in correspondence to a number of axes, and a computer including a computational model trained to model an unwanted signal portion of the sensor signal in response to the shocks caused by the movement signals, and to output the unwanted signal portion as a compensation signal. The computational mod& is trained such that absent a measured variable, the difference between the sensor signal and the compensation signal is zero or is below a predetermined threshold.

Measuring device

A gas analyzer via which exhaust gas to be analyzed is conducted untreated through a first measurement chamber and, after treatment in an oxidation device, through a second measurement chamber, wherein ozone is produced from oxygen to thereby convert nitrogen monoxide into nitrogen dioxide, where the gas analyzer has a first light emitting diode and a second light emitting diode, light of both diodes is conducted through the first measurement chamber onto a first detector, light of the first light emitting diode is partly conducted through the second measurement chamber onto a second detector via a beam splitter arrangement, based on the first detector signal, the nitrogen dioxide concentration of the untreated gas is also measured, based on the second detector signal, the nitrogen dioxide concentration of the treated exhaust gas is measured, and the nitrogen oxide concentration of the exhaust gas is additionally determined from measured nitrogen dioxide concentrations.

Gas analyzer for measuring nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide in exhaust gases

A gas analyzer includes an oxidation device and a subsequent photometer, wherein the oxidation device has a reaction chamber located in an exhaust gas path and a heating chamber downstream thereof, where an ultraviolet light source generates ozone from residual oxygen content of the exhaust gas within the reaction chamber to convert nitrogen monoxide into nitrogen dioxide in the exhaust gas, nitrogen oxides and excess ozone are broken down into nitrogen dioxide and oxygen in the heating chamber, the photometer outputs the measured nitrogen dioxide concentration as nitrogen oxide concentration of the untreated exhaust gas, and where an additional photometer is located in the exhaust gas path between the reaction chamber and the heating chamber which, via light absorption, measures the ozone concentration in the partially treated exhaust gas and outputs the same as oxygen concentration of the untreated exhaust gas.
